UNINTENED PUN IN PC's STATEMENT

"The centrepiece of the budget is the aam aadmi."-PC.
Yes , he is the centrepiece, not positively but negatively. Already 'He' is being crushed by the phenomenal increase in the price of Food item, and other commodities. Now 'he' will have to pay even more, because of the effect of diesel prices on the prices of commodities. He will have to pay more for cement, if he ever dares to think of building a shelter for himself.

The Social Schemes of the Govt just make him "lazy" and lose his "self-respect" ( as the Govt wants him to be). He can work under the NREGS (doing work that is not of any use to the local community), for 3 or 4 days a week, pay a hefty commission of say Rs 20-40 out of the salary of Rs 100 earmarked for the job, have a drink at the TASMAC shop and wile away his time watching programs on the Free Colour TV provided. 'He' will become so useless that he will do anything for the 'free doles', and vote for them in the elections to come. The NREGS has made it very difficult for getting Labour for Farming and Industrial Activities, as there is easy money for the having.

You are absolutely correct! We have a Gov which doesn't have a vision both at the centre and state.
