Well done to the state of Telengana for having the best airport in the country. Despite being yet born, they are building and maintaining great infrastructure against all odds and discrimination heaped on them by Andhrites. Well done Telenganites.

idiot know the facts and talk.
that is the airport belongs to andhra pradesh; not telangana. Remember Telangana is a part of andhra pradesh. And andhra is not a place it is a peoples race. correct ur words.

Instead of crying over the loss, why dont you lay the first step for the betetrment? What have you done by yourself as a step to develop your state and infrastructure?
After all you evaded tax by cheating and now trying to blame the government?
Begumpet airport closed..public money…my tax/blood ….your tax/blood … Begumpet airport can be used as domestic airport…
Farmers land destroyed…
If am paying 1000 rupees to RELIANCE/TATA/INFOSYS… THEY GIVE ME SHARES and PROFIT…
I am paying user development fee everytime….I am developing airport .what is my share what is my profit…
Govt. secretly made an agreement with GMR that when they start operations at the new airport the Govt. will close down the existing Begumpet airport immediately. Further the agreement disallowed building any more airports within 150 KM radius of the new airport. Al Ringer
Instead of selling country to private corporation…. Sudarshan can manage Delhi metro…why cant people can also manage infrastructure projects in India. …
Goons are managing our country …..

It was wrongly named after a departed politician who did nothing for the Andhra Pradesh State and in fact insulted the then AP state CM T.Anjaiah !! We initially demanded to name it after JRD TATA but power that be went for a deal on collecting fee from travellers issue !!

with an additional investment of 1000 crore, the begumpet airport could have been upgraded to add all the facilities, as well as acquire additional land of mahindra hills to extend the runway.instead, government went ahead to acquire 4000 acres of farmers land, make a private player invest 4000 crore, and then bleed every passenger. after all this, this airport does not allow a public transport vehicle to come to the arrival area, whether it is an auto or a city bus. the city bus stand is located 1 kilo meter away, and autos are not allowed to this aiport. look at mumbai, inspite of modernisation, you will get an auto as soon as you come out of airport. and hyderabad airport does not allow other taxis, they just allow their own taxis, which operate at highest fare. cochin airport, on the other hand, is one of the simplest airports, and undoubtedly one of the most user friendly airports in the world, even though it was also made on the public private partnership basis. you can still enjoy a cup of coffee for under ten rupees at cochin airport, take a pre paid taxi at a rate fixed by government, whereas a cup of coffee costs not less than seventy five rupees in hyderabad. you will also notice that hyderabad airport today resembles more of a shopping mall with even seats meant for passengers reserved for restaurants! it has more shops than seats for passengers. who wants LEEDS silver certification, except self promoting enterpreneurs and corrupt politicians!

if govt would have expanded the existing begumpet airport, how could praful patel and other ministers get their cuts. the private players keep a heavy amount for greasing the palms of the ministers.
