Its is not migrant but the airport is managed by GVK. And it is utter chaos there, with very minimum public facilities and utilities. I hate to travel to Mumbai only for this GVK managed airport, instead it is very very to fly down to Pune airport.

Compare this with what a Judge of the Karnataka High Court said recently:
Bangalore International Airport is a Tonga Stand at the best. The design is like a train compartment with no place for aesthetics.
If there is a system from the bottom, then BIAL will top the list. The managers have even broken law by not putting up the BIAL in Kannada. I wish they were located anywhere in Tamil Nadu to face the music.

you are right buddy.. i am a blorean...the airport is pathetic....it doesnot even qualify to be a domestic airport..... the HAL airport is better, but it is smaller...

boss..u r in a front race runner in dividing the andhra. bcos of u people today andhra is dividing. ofcourse BIAL may not upto teh top ranks but bangalore has put our country on global map much before ur hbad airport came. recently US president Obama referring to blore & beijing in terms of education this shows how blore has been referred!!! blore is called in so many nicknames namely..IT capital of India, garden city of India, healthcare capital of India, spiritual capital of India...etc. You tell what hbad is called of..? only nizams & biriyanis. plz be happy that hbad airpot is good & don't compare with other cities in terms of ranking

hey FYI its not telangana its andhra pradesh which brings the modern airport.From blue print to reality its all done by the ppl of AP.
It is very good achievement,if we have the will,we can do it.
However,I find,this 5th rank is in one specific category of passenger size.Can any one suggest what are the other categories based on the passenger per year size ? 5-15 is small,medium or large size airport ?

The report is wrong. It is best in 5-15 million and 5th overall. So, if you are not happy about categories, forget it. Wouldn't 5th best in the world mean anything to you? It does to me and I am proud of it.

This report is tricky,the rank is like in a particular category , 55 KG,60 KG,65 KG,70 KG,75 KG,80 KG and other different categories in BOXING..

Yes, you will not compare this ariport to heavy weights like Charles DeGaule-Paris, Narita- Tokyo, Changi-Singapore, O'Hare- Chicago or Dubai Intl-Dubai. Because these airports mentioned are for passengers beyond 15 millions. Hyd airport is under small and medium category. You may google for more info on airports and their sizes and awards and categories.

it is 5th overall. 1st amongst 5-15 million category (small/medium). all other top-4 in the overall category are big airports, only hyderabad is small/medium one. the largest is atlanta with 70 million .

you mean South Korea, Singapore, China and India rigged ACI, but USA/Europe/Australia could not spend money on it? What a joke! Did you ever travel to any of these countries? I did travel to Europe and US - Hyd airport although smaller than big airports in Europe/US it is much better. Of course the true test comes when the airport is very large - maintenance and service usually gets affected.

I too have travlled U.S/U.K/Europe. Thats not the only measure. Am not talking about other countries.. specially singapore/korea.. but i know. how things are over turned to look better in India...

As far as I know ACI which has conducted this ranking has nothing to do with India. So how come a foreign agency which never rated an Indian airport in top-5 suddenly develops a soft-corner on India? You care to explain how Hyd airport is not good compared to European/US airports - do substantiate with some arguments not just saying "i know", "rigged" etc.

This is Totally Wrong. Rediff is spreading wrong information. Please see google for best airports. None of the indian Airports in the Top 20 list. Rediff should check with Airport database before publishing.

this ranking is done on quality of service (not number of passengers/atms) - and if you have been through that airport (which i doubt) you will see it is better than many European/US airports.
By the way have some pride to be an Indian and live with your head raised rather than thinking that we are always sub-standard and we are under-achievers.
I recently traveled on NH7 from Kurnool to Hyderabad, that road is as good as any highway in US (if not better). Have some confidence that we can do good like China does. Don't be with a negative mindset.

you are right... there are many good roads of international stds in India too...for e.g the NICE from blore to mysore is of international std. but the sad part is that, gowda is putting a spanner in the works..

man open your eyes , see that every north indian and south Indian like Karanataka and tamil people are feeling jealous , see their statements they want not develop A.P and not to make hyd in top list .
