Can only GM crops ensure India's food security?

Dear Shard Pawarji,

I am small man, I don’t have capacity to give suggestion or give any advice to you sir , even though now a days , if I go to market I cannot buy any vegetables and any food grains happily because of the price hike, How the small man can buy the vegetables the KG are now a days starting from Rs.60/- per kg and even one Banana cost Rs. 3/- per banana . and other fruits also same price.

I am watching so many years in Mumbai near to the Railway Tracks so many people are cultivating (subji) - Vegetables in different near to the vast land of Railway staion track, if you start from Parle, Mutunga, Vikroli, Bhundup, Mulund and near Thane station and so many places central railway and western railway also in different , locations had seeing in Mumbai for so many years the those formers they were cultivating the Bhaji –(Vegetables) through gutter water , in this type of land our man producing the vegetable and if you can provide lot of vacant land all over India and with water facility , how many people are without job : what don’t you start : some agriculture development company : taking as a category as Former and Former assistant , even lot of ladies and house wife also they will come and do their job and in this type we can increase our production, if our production is more the price will come down automatically if you are in a position to provide water and there were lot of vacant land in all ov

The agricultural societies in each cluster of villages should only decide on crop pattern
They should consult independent organisations like MSSRF and indl social sceitists like sainath
