Sankar is well known for his uprightness and honesty. He doesnot belong to the Raja tribe !
I started my career from the Sanmar Group- way back in 1990 - looking back it was worth two years spend there. Starting as a trainee engineer, the experience and the knowledge gained are invaluable
Our Indian cricket owes a lot to this man. He is a big supporter of cricket and people like Dinesh Karthik and Murali Vijay have learnt their initial cricketing skills while playing at Jolly Rovers. There is an interesting non-business side to Sankar and will be interesting to learn more about that
Interesting insight into naming of the company. Sanmar is a combination of the names of Sankar and Kumar. ( san from SANkar and Mar from kuMAR ) . Even Chemplast is a combination of Chemical and Plastics, I guess.

Yes you are right. Chemplast Sanmar was called Chemicals and Plastics India limited.
