Euphemism?
by brahmarakshas on Dec 18, 2010 04:32 PM

//The goodwill that my father had built over the years helped me in good stead in getting approvals.//

Is this an euphemism for saying that he used contacts to get through the red-tapism of those days and work around legalities (however idiotic they may have been at the time)? Wonder what would have happened to an entrepreneur, who started around the same time as Mr.Sankar, but without the so called good will. Must have been tough indeed.

Anyway he has created a pretty big empire and good for him.

Krishnaswamy Balasubramanian
Mr.N.Sankar's Interview
by Krishnaswamy Balasubramanian on Dec 18, 2010 03:09 PM

Mr. Sankar had always impressed me as a fine Sportsman keenly interested in Tennis and Cricket and have seen him and admired him from a distance at Chepauk. A couple of my close friends who are close to him have of course, narrated a lot about his shrewd business acumen, work culture and capabilities. Heading Assocham successfully was no mean achievement at a crucial period in the country's Economic growth. Happy to read his crisp autobiography from Bangalore after having relocated from Chennai where I belong. Wish him all the Best for many many more years at the helm. K Bala, AdarshVista Bangalore.

"P V Narasimha Rao, the then prime minister, was very open to all ideas and...." This man is surely in trouble from Sonia and Rahul for uttering a word of praise for actual founder of modern and progressive india.

A great entrepreuner !
by AAMEC CHEMINEER on Dec 17, 2010 03:33 PM

As a technical service provider to SANMAR,I'm very happy to deal with SANMAR based on its professional approach in all its dealings rarely seen among Indian owned companies. Moreover, Integrity is the last concern for many organisations as on date.

All the accolodes goes to Mr.Sankar & Mr.Kumar who had developed and running the group professionally with gratitude to their employees.

Raja Gulped 167 lakh Crore
by chennai superking on Dec 17, 2010 11:48 AM  | Hide replies

Which means 16700000 X 10000000. if you use any online calculator it will give the comprehensive sum as 1.67 X10 to the power of 14.

Its more than what india has to pay as debt to other nations.

The papers are talking about loss to this tune. not that raja gulped so much of amount. and where on earth has somebody got so much money just to buy bandwidth. Even if tata's ambani's, mittals and BSNL put all the money, they cannot even come 2% to the total loss propoganded by the media.

Totally hypothetical figures which is merely exxagerated by the media and the opposition parties.

With 2G spectrum will almost be extinct in the next 5 years do you think this even worth a debate.

Lets simply not debate over these hypothetical figures.

Raja is a culprit, but do you think he is capable enough to gulp so much money.
