TOWER BRIDGE
by Partha Das on Dec 08, 2010 07:56 PM  | Hide replies

The picture shown in th UK page is actually the Tower Bridge. The narration below wrongly says, London Bridge. The London Bridge is actually about 500m west of this bridge.

Yes it is defiantly Tower bridge, but Americans call it London Bridge.
This was a mistake in the 60s when Americans wanted to buy Tower Bridge but referred it as London Bridged which is not far away from tower Bridge.
After receiving the London Bridge (which is now erected in some deserted area in USA(Cant remember where).
Americans realised their mistake.
since then tower bridge is always mistaken as London Bridge.
london bridge as we know it now is the replacement of the original bridge as i said before the original is in USA somewhere.

China prospered and is happy without India's dummy democracy and casteism.
Indians are brainwashed to believe that voting in elections == democracy and a solution to all problems.

NRIs settled abroad dont send much money back home

NRIs settled abroad dont send much money back home

The bulk of the ones who send money home are short term contract workers who work in USA for 6 months to 6 years and then return to India with their US savings

The simple reason is again Corruption.
I maintain a small account in India not much just 2lakhs at ay time this helps me when i am in India.
But the amount of questions i get asked are unlimited.
Such as where do get your money.
have you paid tax on it if not we can sort it out with the tax department for few thousand etc.
It is just impossible although I can send up to 10000 UK pounds to India with out any question asked. But the harassment is to much.
I just maintain my account through a bank which is national and have branches in UK and other countries.
So far they have been good. but no one knows the future.
IT IS THE HARASSMENT FROM THE SO CALLED GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS WHICH PUT US OFF IN INVESTING IN INDIA.
Otherwise there is no other reason.

We being the NRIs pump soo much money into the system, and what we see when we return back is the same dirty roads, poor education system(fully privatised), blasts, religious politics, lack of basic things, corruption... and wat not...
thats the reason NRIs dont want to come back...and finally settle down abroad for a better life...
I just hope the constitution gets amended for harsh punishment for every culprit, from terrorist to politics...and the name delhi comes soo often in crimes... just god save the capital

Mr. ARIF, in which system you pump money?Either you deposit in your account and earn interest or send to relatives, who use the money. What other contribution? This is not my Govt. It is our govt. We are part of it. What is our contribution in development.

Just tell me in what sense u are pumping to the system? Let me know how much u save after spending ur annual expenditure. And, apart from sending money back to home, what does ur additional contribution towards the nation?
