Unplugged Economic Growth with Sustainability at its centre.
by Lakshya Vision on Dec 07, 2010 03:18 PM

China and India are the most emerging economies of the world . This is all on account of their population ie. consumption level.

Instead of nipping the problem in its bud, US is beating around the bushes.

Real Problem- Materialistic Nature of Human Beings.

When we can curb the growth of Cars and Provide MASS TRANSPORT SYSTEM to human kind , then why not stop the growth of car production.
For years, Greening word makes a hollow drum because Rich is weaving policies to benefit themselves. We poor simply fall prey to their lust for money.
Greening World will take place only if we stop Automobile Sector to grow.
Some companies including Automobile space will not let it happen . Even if it calls for Dooms day.
Tata is no exception. If Ratan tata is a really a human being, he should take the lead of switching from Car to Bycyle manufacturing.

Who has paid you for this Mr. Chandrashekar???
by Shashank Parkar on Dec 07, 2010 03:09 PM  | Hide replies

Mr. Chandrashekhar
1) you sold ur own company to make money - how can you accuse someone of making money by diluting stake and at the same time it introduced cheaper rates for consumers.
2) chairman of TRAI joins Tata as consultant- was this post retirement? Was he alone the author of UASL ? Please check how many govt. officers today are on lucrative private sector payroll.
3) Why blame Tata for making use of govt. policy? If the govt. formed a new queue why blame Tata?its after all a profit making entity and answerable to its shareholders. You don't even have the confirmed date of Tata's application!!And how many incumbent operators have the technology and the money to make use of the spectrum allocated.
4)Of all the operators Tatas have best infra and customer service today.

Why are you not asking questions to reliance on the swan telecom scam? why are you not asking questions to the govt for its policy flip flop? Kindly question karunanidhi on how he can support Raja even after the CAG and SC are questioning him?

your open letter is malicious and seems to be an effort by vested interests to undermine the most respected organisation in the country

resign from your position as MP and go home.

MR. CHANDRASEKHAR IS ABSOLUTELY CORRRECT AND ATTACKED GOODY GOODY RATAN TATA ON THE RIGHT POINT. THIS MAN HAS BEEN LOBIYING WITH LEFT FRONT GOVERNMENT IN BENGAL AND WANTED TO GRAB HUGE LAND WITH THROW AWAY PRICE IN SINGUR WITH AN ADVERTISEMENT OF SETTING UP A FACTORY OF NANO CAR (which model is a complete flop and tatas are going to withdraw this model from the market very soon). BUT OUR GREAT LEADER MAMATA DI MADE A GALLENT FIGHT AND HELPED THOUOSANDS OF PEASANTS TO KEEP THEIR FIRTILE LAND. AFTER ASSEMBLY ELECTION IN 2011 TATA GROUP WILL BE GIVEN A GOOD LESSION AND THEIR MISDEEDS WILL BE OPENED TO EVERYBODY.

Land price is fixed and acquired by the govt for any SEZ. How come Tata at Singur bought land at throw away price? No govt can fix a price more the the prevailing price in the market. But land price is dynamic and people always demand more. Please do not give wrong impression to public

Sir, Mr. Chandrashekhar and all of you are absolutely correct, coz we can only comment on other people's work.
I want to tell a story to all of you guys as being told by my edlers. "Once a painter put his painting for comment and finding faults in the painting on a wall outside his house. Every passer by came and found one or the other fault in it.
He was amused to see the kind of remarks he got on his painting". Next time he made a simlar piece and asked people to come and correct it...........NO ONE CAME FORWARD. The moral of the story is finding faults is very easy but doing it yourself is very easy... So we were talking about TATA'S. Guys including Mr. Chandrashekhar... Please create the kind of jobs Tata's have created, create companies like tata's have created and ONLY THAN YOU HAVE RIGHT TO SAY ALL WRONG THING ABOUT TATA'S OTHERWISE PLEASE WRITE GOOD THINGS ABOUT A PERSON OF THAT STATURE.

Mr.Banerjee.... i think you are not aware that the same leader of yours Mamtadi has not allowed the acquired fertile land to be returned.. but wants to setup a rail coach factory...howmany peasants would railways employ.. zero as they would not meet qualification criteria.
ancilliary companies which were to serve tata plant now are asking mamta banerjee to ask tata to come back... whether it is mamta or the cpm .WB remains one of the most underdeveloped state in india

TATAS IS TRUSTED BRAND AND WE HAVE COMPLETE FAITH IN WHATEVER THEY DO. THE SALT WE EAT, THE CARS WE DRIVE, THE HOUSE WE LIVE IN. IF THESE THINGS ARE MADE BY TATAS WE ARE ASSURED OF ITS QUALITY. SO WHY WRITING SO MUCH OF BAKWAS ABOUT TATAS

1) Mr. Rajiv Chandrashekar sold his own company and not somebody elses. He has a right to that, doesn't he?

2) None of the Indian Industrialists show themselves with a "holier than thou" attitude. There are only two who openly exhibit this. They are Mr. Ratan Tata and Mr. Narayana Murthy. So, it does cause suspicions when they appoint ex-bureaucrats.
3) Tata making use of Govt policy is certainly okay. But, what is now unfolding is the suspicion that Tatas manipulated policy - with the knowledge of Ratan Tata or not is not known. That is a totally different issue than using existing poicy. Others doing the samething is understandable. But, Tatas doing it is not. Their image is not that way.

Tata may be totally honest in all the dealings. For the sake of people, one would wish that this remains so. But, Tata going to the SC to stop Radia tapes from going public give room for suspicions. Even yesterday there was a news in one of the Channels where there was talk of Tata's Executives involving in some kind of dealings with Karunanidhi's 3rd wife - legal or illegal is not known.

Yes, it is not possible to be honest and do business in India.

1) What write he has got to write an open letter to anyone to tarnish someone's image? That too a peson like Mr. Tata.
2) If can sold his company no issues with that, if Tata's selling their stake to Docomo, what are other people's problem, this people do not know that we are technology starved, if that we are bringing in new companies what harm in that?
3)nothig wrong in hiring an ex-bureacrat, as when ever a person retires, he remembers the clauses of that particular field verbally. So it helps in saving time as otherwise you need to go to government rulings and those moti-2 books again and again. So i do not think there is anything wrong in it.
A friend joking to another friend about his/her about anything matter is loss of privacy...So nothing harm in it.

Mr. hebbar...
1) i agree you can sell your own company... but why question anyone else?
2)ex- bureacrats are everywhere. Check UN and its organisations... you will find all Indian ex- babus in key positions.
3)If tatas manipulated govt. policy ... India would have been a better place.
JRD Tata had asked railways to handover Mumbai Suburban railways operation to tata group..... he had said it will have Re.1 as fixed price for the tickets..... today minimum fare for shortest distance is rs.4
4)Radia tapes are from Income Tax investigation supposed to be crucial and confidential. So tata has the right to go to SC to prevent disclosure..... half truths can be blown out of context by the biased Indian media

It is possible to be honest and do business in india - Check what Mr. Narendra Modi has done!!1

I respect Mr.Tata for his selfless effort while the terrorist attack in Taj, Mumbai.

But I had some reservation about his involment in 2G spectrum Scam

1. Why the TATA were afraid of the Nodia tape?

2. Why he is concern about the conversation he had with that lady?

3. Why he want to prevent all of us from those naked truth?

4. Only a few conversation had come up from nearly 5000 recordings. Who will reveal the rest?

?????

Please understand and do no get fooled that he is writing as an MP but as a stooge to his erstwhile connection to COAI. As an MP, he should clear the corruption of his party espsccially in Karnataka. Every one is aware how and what he has done to BPL and Nambiar family.

Yedyurappa is probably corrupt and should be punished for his misdeeds. But, that has nothing to do with what Chandrashekar has written here. But, taking your issue on face value, one has to investigate all the actions of all the parties that ruled Karnataka, especially the Congress and the JD (S) and punish all those who looted the state. It is not sufficient to just target the present CM alone.

Not just that. Let him state from where his BPL came from. BPL standing for British Physical laboratories Ltd was a small Palakkad (Kerala) based company importing and selling small diagnostic kits and related equipment. How they became big and later became BPL Sanyo is in itself another story. Questionable tactics to say the least were their hallmarks. And then this man married into the BPL family later to fight with the Patriarch of the family Mr. Nambiar. BPL Mobile operated in Mumbai Tamil Nadu and Kerala when this MP was the Chairman. I was one their customers and I still have bills where they have billed me for South roaming as well as for National roaming. Mr Chandrasekhar has no right to talk about propriety to the Tatas who have given so much for India and Indians. To all the people who take pride in deriding Tatas and equating them with Satyam Raju and so on - Tatas have given India so many Institutions like the Indian Institute of Science, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research and not to mention Air India which was later taken over by the Government of India and brought down to the present gutter from which the powers to be are trying to rescue itself. Let us respect one of the very few upright Industrialists of India instead of painting everybody black.

You don't you use your brain as he is requesting the SC to take action on the culprits that he is on the right side? He is not taking any steps in the back ground using the ministers to block any thing like many others. So it is a fact that these things should not be disclosed. There are many such things which govt cannot disclose and ex punched from even parliament proceedings.
