Govt want to tap your phones by hiking the price !
by kaladhara saralaya on Dec 02, 2010 07:42 PM

People will try to avoid travelling and use phones or net. Both will be tapped by Govt Agencies !

Dooms day is approaching for Air Lines !
2012 will be last flying days
Alternatives :
Buy a vehicle instead of travelling!
Politicians can afford for this as the money is spent by Govt !
Try to avoid travelling by using other modes of communications ... be careful your telephone is not taped by agencies ... Tata Case !!!

Ridiculous
by Me on Dec 02, 2010 07:40 PM

This can mean only one thing - a boon for the Indian Railways..If the railways can come up with an international level system, people will surely start using them again for long distance travel, rather than pay almost 1 lakh to go to Delhi from South India and come back!!

Since last year when naresh goyal and mallya got together, we have seen steep increase in fare. These people have colluded right under the nose of our aviation minister and now he has woken up.

Monopolies and restrictive Trade Practices must be looked into. Carteling should not be allowed.

See the modesty of Airline Companies

What ever fare structure they have submitted between two cities but they are in INR not USD. They could have quoted $ before numerics. When Centre Govt. is spine less they will quote anything. Don't worry be Happy. All is Well!!!

Insane proposal, if true, this one for domestic travel
by Tom Dick on Dec 02, 2010 07:36 PM

It would be a lot cheaper to fly DEL-SIN-BLR on Air Asia than flying direct DEL-BLR. You an enjoy SIN...all you pay for your boarding and lodging in SIN. Still cheaper than a direct flight of 40000. They will not get people to fill the plane paying that kind of money.

The Govt should not interfere in the issue of fares. When the fares are high, people will obviously stop using Air Travel. Then surely, these Airlines will come down to earth (pun unintended) on their pricing. Till then, it will be advantage Indian Railways.

Nice to see a one way fare of Rs.40000 between Delhi-Bangalore ,which is more than going from India to any country in the World. If it's a joke, it is hilarous. If it's a proposal , it's insane.

ha ha ha... really its hilarious proposal... just wondering how empty the planes would be...
apart from urgent business high officials, every one would choose other transport...
I myself would avoid flights within india...getting back to traditional trains, AC coachs and enjoying all the nature along...

why DG of Civil Aviation?
by Loan Shark on Dec 02, 2010 07:20 PM

shouldn't the airlines be free to charge whatever they want?

as long as they are competitive and don't collude to determine fares, it should be fair
