If we work in MNC and then in indian IT companies, that would be the feeling. Indian IT gaints in service sector are growing and that takes time to catch up western world. This may take some time to get some professionalism in indian IT gaint companies.

HR Policies in Indian IT Comapines can be improved if America and Europe forces 60 of work force to be non-indians abroad. I mean, if Infosys is operating in US, 60% of employees and 90 % of HR, Accounts department should be US american citizens only till these companies learn professionalism.

Crap Bill

All these Democrats are supporters of illegals from Mexico, cause they work for nothing. Indians should stop supporting Democrats till they change their attitude. These educated young men and women from India work hard and are are tax paying citizens and support families, and also are working in USA legally. Democrats have a long history of punishing hardwork and rewarding terrorists and illegals. For some stupids talking about innovation by US companies, they should look at HP's R&D budget! Most innovations are done by researchers at universities, and are well represented by Indias, Chinees, and Korians. Be gratefull before pissing into the well you drink from! Vote out all Democrats in the November elections!

Did they request you to come US?. THat is their model in providing infrastructure, policies and security in protecting the business interests.

They invite intellectuals, technical, non-skilled labours based on their skills and demand in american market.

Yes, innovations , new models , new theories might have emerged or evolving at universities using indians, chinese, europeans or any other race. Even that is the model which they devised and are being exploited by all countries which are lacking.

If India does that, the same thing will happen.

It hurts but it is possibly true
by alien netizen on Aug 09, 2010 09:24 PM  | Hide replies

infosys or tcs or wipros is not google or oracle or MS. Rather lightyears away from these leaders. Honest insight will say that all infy engrs are actually writing programmes in software made by us giaint. What has infy created beyond some software labourers. Ask the guy who works in such firms and he will tell u the heartbreaking story.

Infosys , TCS and Wipro are service provider companies. Training the indians lacking professional skills meeting western standards or supplying skilled professionals or workers into US or European market.

Infy, Wipro and TCS never boasted to be compared with Product Development companies like Oracle or Search engine gaint like Google.

Why do then Oracle and Google have development centres in India? Why can't they exclusively work out of US only?

Mr. Schumer,

I am an ex-employee of Infosys. The company is UNFAIR to its employees, follows horrible HR practices.

Thanks for Speaking the Truth out.

A rich company is not necessarily innovative..
by Rajesh Shetty on Aug 09, 2010 09:20 PM  | Hide replies

Forget infy for a moment. Lets take the example of the world's richest company till the other day, Microsoft. And only a few days ago, Apple overtook Microsoft as the World's leading technological IT innovating company. Now back to the 80's and 90's. Way back in the 80's Apple's Mac were in fact the forefront of innovation, its products were next to none, and those who brought a Mac always stayed with it. They always hated the PC. And Microsoft became rich by writing software for this common man's PC. He sold in huge nos. and left Apple and its OS MAC way behind. But then this lead in nos. does not make Microsoft the most innovative company on earth, maybe it was the richest. But Apple held on to its innovative plus points, got products like Ipod, iphone and many more which were way superior in technology to their contemporaries. And today after 3 decades, it has become the rightful leader. So just bcos a company is big or rich does not make it the most innovative one. Infy, just bcos it creates software services, is not even like a Govt. agency like DRDO, or ISRO in terms of innovation. Of course u get paid much more there. But that isnt everything...

This is what will happen if you rely on other economy. donno why we are so savvy to work for America or nicely printed US treasury bill? Even Obama also said that US econmy improve because less Jobs transferred to India and China. So Lets create Job in India for India by India.
And to "India Great" & "Indianpatriot" you are US made Indian clone. If you want Innovation. here is one example "ISRO" these people started making rocket using bicycle, now other countries coming to ISRO for its capabilities.

mr. techie. get ur fact right. Many countries are seeking the satellite services of ISRO. Dont speak so lightly of ISRO. Can Infy every come up with anything like ISRO does..? And maybe Chandrayan is a partial success. It did discover water. And for that matter even Coumbia of NASA failed. But space exploration is not a child's play. Nor is it like writing code in Infy, which most trained SSLC guys too can do, with a bit of logic.
