technical institutes. The equip their graduates with technical know-how (programming) and business skills - for example, all these kids have done here is put together various pieces (android OS, etc..) to come up with this nice product that'll sell big for sure? But its a waste of taxpayer money if this is all that IIT is about! I think the vision was to produce fundamental advancements in science, not just technology. Because of this, IIT will always be known at best as a premier undergraduate school. That's it. You cannot expect any Nobel laureates from there any time soon. But you can sure as hell expect dozens of wannabe millionaires and entrepreneurs.

lest I am misunderstood by the stone-casters, I am in no way undermining the value of this fine product.
SOMEONE IS TALKING MY COMMENTS ON LACK OF INNOVATION IN THE PRODUCT PERSONALLY AND USING ABUSIVE LANGUAGE , HOWEVER I HAVE NOTHING AGAINST INNOVATION AND MY OWN COUNTRY I AM WRITING WHAT I READ AND OBSERVED , SO SHOULD YOU IN A CIVIL LANGUAGE You might not know but you will even find a PS3 clone in China that too at one fourth the price of the original PS3. Now it is time for the Apple’s new iPad, the Chinese iPad enthusiasts can now buy the counterfeit version of the tablet from a number of small stores in Shenzhen, China according to reports by Reuters. Chinese are way ahead in copying technology then we can ever imagine. The bad thing is that these clones have really short life and durability apart from that you won’t get any warranties either. According to a shopkeeper iPad knock-off, which runs Windows and features three USB ports, is competitively priced: 2,800 yuan ($410) compared to Apple’s iPad, priced between $500 and $830. Reuters described the knock-off as a giant iPhone, and Lin said future generations would look even more like the real thing

MR VISHNU HAS WRITTEN A GOOD COMPARISON OF BOTH THE PRODUCTS AND HE SEEMS IN FAVOUR OF ADAM , SO LETS WAIT FOR THE PRODUCT TO ARRIVE HOWEVER , THE PRESENT SCENARIO SEEMS THAT THE GUYS IN PICS ARE JUST MAKING TALL CLAIMS
Despite good Apple iPad Reviews, the Notion Ink Adam Tablet PC review remains in favor of the latter. This is because a great advantage of the Adam Tablet over the iPad is its built-in autofocus 3-megapixel camera! I just can’t understand why Apple failed to include a camera for the iPad Tablet PC. This is a very feature that every modern portable computer should have. Notion Ink also trumps Apple by including an expansion SD-card slot in their Adam Tablet. The $499 dollar version of the iPad has only 16GB storage and for me it’s just miniscule but would have been easily remedied by including a memory card slot on the iPad. The other features which make the Notion Ink Adam Tablet PC superior to the iPad are the HDMI output that transfers full 1080p HD video files, AGPS, proximity sensor, accelerometer, and Touchpad. And did I mention that this tablet will fully support Adobe Flash 10 ? Apple stupid to keep on refusing the Flash Player. How the hell are you going to watch Youtube videos and movies on your iPad without flash? The Adam Tablet also boasts up to 160 hours of battery life if the backlight for the display is turned off. Otherwise on regular use, its battery life can last up to 16 hours which is still better than the 10 hours offered by the iPad Tablet PC.
There is more. The Adam Tablet is going to be a real computer powered by a dual-core 1 Ghz Intel processor, unlike Apple’s A4 iPad chip which is too slow to support mult

itasking. The Adam Tablet will fully support multitasking because of the desktop-like dual core processors and gaming on it will be excellent because the Adam Tablet will be armed with the potent nVidia Tegra 2 GPU! The iPad runs fast on the iPhone OS 3.2 but it can never really support full desktop applications like what the Adam Tablet is capable of. Notion Ink confirmed that their product is going to support Ubuntu, Android OS 2, and Google Chrome OS. The prototype displayed at the Mobile World Congress was running on Android OS 2.1 but I bet this tablet computer is competent enough to run Microsoft Windows 7.
And lastly, Notion Ink has officially confirmed that their Adam Tablet PC will retail for $327 for the basic unit and up to $800 for the high-end model. Price and feature-wise the Adam Tablet is the clear winner. It just trounces the iPad and because of this, I have canceled my March pre-order for the $499 iPad. I will wait instead for April when Notion Ink starts shipping the very impressive Adam Tablet PC.

@Vishnu When did u order the ipad? I mean which Month? is it possible to cancel the order?
The important thing is that they have created a final product. Excellent work! Congratulations!!
However, creating a market for a new product, especially if it is going head-on with a global brand like Apple, is a much more daunting proposition. While I wish Adam's creators all the very best, I would urge them not to get disheartened in case this product does not succeed as well as they would have liked. Instead, they should keep at their creative work and will eventually be successful, sooner or later. I hope they succeed sooner than later, of course. Well done, folks!

Making a good looking product, which is functionally comparable to a global icon is one thing; marketing and creating a 'Global Brand' is completely a different proposition and will cost 'tons' of money and 'Global Mindset'. Best of Luck.
