-The main curse on India is the congress party.
-The Biharis and poor UP wallas usually earned livelihood through rickshaw pulling and other mineal works and could afford a decent meal perday.
-but thanks to cangress and its infiltration policy all such works had gone to illegal bangladeshi migrants and the poor Indians are poorer still.

Faile so calle economist
by GS on Apr 21, 2010 06:17 PM  | Hide replies

in Europe, minimum wage earner earns 50 euro per day on 8 hour shift. It takes only about 7 Euro (1/7th of a days income), to buy good quality food-meat (chicken-4 euro per chiken, onion 1-2 euro per kilo bread 1 euro, other stuff 1 euro) for a whole families meal for a day.

In India, a minimum wage earner e.g. Rs 200 per day, can he buy that kind of food for Rs 30?

The price of produce compared to income has shot to one of the highest in world, all because we have one SO CALLED ECONOMIST as PM whose main job is to carry pallu of sonia.

200 perday that means 6000 permonth its good salary for lower middle class person. Though the limit of perday wages starts from 120 per day. Most of the people gets hardly 80-100 per day. They take there thumb impression on vouchers of Rs 130-150. Now about Chicken & meat Indian poor person can see it in dream only or he has to cosume it the wastage from big hotels or big families. Its very difficult by normal food in lower salaries.

I have put as generous figures as possible. I know actual prices of food in Europe are even lower and actual earnings of poor in India are much below Rs 200 per day.
My point is, even in the case I mentioned, Indians are paying one of the higest prices in the world, and our so called economist PM keeps telling us everything is OK.

Poverty
by Sneha Joshi on Apr 21, 2010 06:02 PM  | Hide replies

Poverty will be there till at end of democracy. Politicians required poor people to vote them. They can give various promises & dreams to them. Democratic Govt. will never think of vanishing poverty otherwise they will not servive. Politician/Business tycoons need ample of poor man power to serve them by puting some peanuts infront of them. India is the counrty where you can get cheap labour & rich people knew it very well so they always take care that poor should remain poor always. Politicians develops Zopadpattis with the help of Local Gundas because they want to develop their votebanks & they can use some of manpower for their personal use. So percentage of poverty/Poverty removel/upgardation of poor or rehabilation of poor people all these are the paper work to show some activities to aam janta.
