People on this forum like chalguru seem to be cribbing for no reason. Agreed that the minimal safety should be guaranteed with any product sold, but then what about the issues with high priced branded ones?
Recently there was an issue with Toyota recal. A person who was sentenced to jail got respite in the US because he appealed after the Toyota recall was announced. The court later ruled that he had slammed his brakes well in time and to the maximum he could but the Toyota failed to stop. There was a Honda City in our vicinity that caught fire in front of our eyes.
So, people should understand that while the user has every right to safety and should ask hefty compensation, risk will always be involved while using any machinery.

Very True.
Maharashtrians never have had a scientist like CV RAMAN, SN BOSE, SUBRAMANIAN CHANDRASEKHAR, JC BOSE, VENKATRAMAN RAMAKRISHNAN, MEGHNAD SAHA for a simple reason.
They just cannot imagine coming out of Pune.
How can you progress if you do not want to come out of Pune?
In BARC, with great difficulty, there is only one Maharashtrian - Anil Kakodkar. The rest are all South Indians - Raja Ramanna, MR Srinivasan, R Chidambaram, PK Iyengar, Gopalakrishnan.
Even in TCS Mumbai, there is not a single Maharashtrian at the top level - S Ramadorai, N Chandrasekharan, S Padmanabhan, Mahalingam. And the Maharashtrians just wash the dishes...eg Shindes, Mhatres, Sawants...who think they are great because Shivaji Maharaj belonged to their caste.
Maharashtrians... Jaago. Learn to adjust in other pasrts of the country.
It is only a Maharashtrian who will say - 'I will prefer becoming a sweeper in Pune rather than becoming a Director of AIIMS'.
RA Mashelkar is the only Maharashtrian who is a Feloow of the Royal Rociety of England.
We have Amartya Sen, JC Bose, SN Bose, Meghnad Saha who are FRSE.
From Tamil Nadu, we have Sir CV RAMAN, Subramanian Chandrasekhar and Venkatraman Ramakrishnan.

MR Mirza, Please stop commenting on the marathi people.encourge harmony amoung peoople not hatred.if Tata has designed the ccar then why are u bother to say marathi people designed.they will give justification on it.so please leave it to them

In that case is there any law which forces non-marathi to buy it? If you dont like the car dont buy it, period.
Buy shit quality from your jatwala Chabbria, good looking cars but full of faults, mainly wiring.

Sachin is not a GOD. He is a extraodinary man with lot of talent. But he use his talent to build records for himself.
TATAs have given an option for Indians to own a car they can afford, due to lower living standards in this country...we should not blame NANO for this...if anybody wants a good quality car they have to pay a price...u cant expect every good thing in 1 lakh car !!! but YES the problems has to be rectified as far safety of the passengers...otherwise why sachin is driving ferrari???...this is a humanitarian effort for the people of india....good work TATA..
Re: no worry
by rajendra prasad on Apr 19, 2010 05:27 PM
before releasing the Car TATAs has to ensure the Safety of Pasangers because we believed the TATAs from Years... if any person doing good work, it is right to take lives of believers....
Tata has no right to play with user's safety. Tata should appoligise &investigate causes for such incidents before any further Nano in the market.Ratan do this fast otherwise you will loose your credibility.
Re: Nano

Tata must made to pay at least 10 crores in compensation to the victim plus nano should be banned from further sales . so that they learn a lesson not bring an unsafe vehicle in market just for sake of cheapness
Re: Re: Nano
by Nikesh Suthar on Apr 19, 2010 05:10 PM
How do u know its not done purposefully by the competitors in the market !!! it might be, right? so let them investigate and after everything is clear, then only the point of compensation comes. Agreed, they should take more care in future and compensate for these instances if proven correct..

TATA NANO SHOULD COME WITH A FREE LIFE INSURANCE POLICY
TATA cars .. be in Indica, Indigo, Marina...have you heard the sound of the engine and vibrations? The shock absorbers are stupid, the cars looks like 6-8 years old after one year. Never Compare TATA cars to Maruti,Toyota etc....TATA has always compromised with quality for making cheap and bullshit products

Who has forced you to buy a Tata product? Pay more and get better quality. Your cribbing sounds like you want to travel Volvo Semi-Sleeper by paying for an ordinary ST bus.
If you are so very infatuated with quality, buy yourself a Rolce-Royce or May Bach.

22 or 1, no body wants to gamble and burn. With Rs.8/km in auto, one can travel 12500 kms (for just the price of car, forget petrol) HAPPILY (provided auto drivers are good which is a rarity)
We should all realise one small thing. Any car made in India has to be inferior than the original version ,Let's look at cars like Toyota..The one's made in India and the one's made abroad in the west are a clas apart. Do you know it was possib;e only in India to launch Honda city without air bags!!! I wonder if any one followed the review of the Nano car by the western media..They made a royal mockery of the car and it's technical and safety features..We have an acceptance for everything..Nnao is actually a college boy project...How shameless can the companies be in launching such a project..For your info the orginal Suzuki 800 was by far much superior than the one made in India..Qualis was a worldwide failure and was sold in India like hot cakes...Innova from Toyota is an obselte one too..thel list iis endless
