14000 people can form a company
by Test on May 15, 2009 05:16 PM  | Hide replies

My suggestion is those 14000 people can start a employee owned company, contribute as per their affordability & form a company.
Then they can poach Satyam's clients teach lessons to Satyam's Management who neglected the fraud which was happening for years...

With I-am-more-intelligent-then-others attitude and inflated ego, it is practically impossible for even 5 IT professionals to either open a company or form a union, let alone 14,000.

Practical solution: Update your resume and post in some job site. Start your job search immediately. Brush up your Java/.NET or whatever skills. Call your friends in other companies, use your networking .....

All IT Employee should form an union, then only IT people can comes to know about the management activities and as a union they can appose the management such like worst desicion. So all IT employee should form an UNION, otherwise all IT employee should face such like problem day to day

Hey....this is the best solution i guess..if the 14,000 employees can do the same projects at a lesser cost, then i m sure they will have enough for themselves.

Prolonging recession
by Chandran KR on May 15, 2009 05:15 PM  | Hide replies

In the name of improving performance, more and more employees who were overburdened were saddled with more work and the others were given pink slips. When every company did this, recession started. Now using recession as an excuse more employees are being thrown out. This will only prolong recession. Instead, work should be shared. Companies that got tax holidays in the name of providing employment are the ones laying off people. This should be halted by the government. Companies laying off people should be asked to remit the tax back to the government. The IT salary structure needs to be reworked. SEZs should be banned. No more tax holidays.

What is minimum salary as per your intellect ? Secondly how much is the minimum salary amount for 12000 employees ? Thirdly with this slowdown, if they take a year to find another job, what is the bill to the company becoz of your brilliant idea ?

Prolonging recession
by Chandran KR on May 15, 2009 05:09 PM

Every company laying off people will only prolong the man-made recession. Now the top managers will use the recession as an excuse to extract more work from those who are already overburdened. These employees will eventually burn-out or go insane or quit by themselves. Whatever job is there needs to be shared. The salary of IT employees needs to be reworked. The IT companies must not be allowed tax holidays. Either those who got tax holidays must not be allowed to lay off employees or they must pay taxes, so that govt can give unemployment dole.

When IT people are enjoying they have not thinked other people Due to more expense they are going to expend lot resulting overall increase in prices. Now if someone says like goinnder they will criticize them.
Also they will always defend by saying we are working 10 to 12 hrs per day and compare working hrs with government officers and neglet the working conditions of other person who are working in Pvt sector. There is nothing to show sympathy with this IT people
