Job cut
by S Ravichandran on May 14, 2009 05:11 PM

It is just not the solution to accept that Indian companies cut 20% staff from their companies. In the real sense, if you look at the fact globally, India is in a much better position. But if you see countries like Australia, New Zealand etc. they too face this problem but they manage to protect the lives of employees rather than just calling them and sending back to home. For your information, Australian Govt assured to take care of their citizens and migrated citizens if they have to lose their jobs by giving pension sort of helping hand. Of course, the foreign countries do collect taxes directly from salaries but they feel their responsibilities and discharge it promptly. Even India for salaried class they are paying taxes straight on their salaries, but the Government did not bother about their citizens at the same time they indirectly support the industrialists for their acts of doing so. Uptill now, Government has never showed its support or assurance to their citizens as far as the situation is concerned. Its rather really painful. In fact, they introduced sixth pay commission to Government employees just to attract their votes during election. Is it not surprising when the country is facing such a severe economic crisis, Government has just spent thousands of crore rupees on elections. Think it and act before taking any actions as almost all the salaried class people are having enough liability level when compared to their salary level.Hence, it is to benoted

I still do not understand what Congress has got to do with it. The same would have happened even if a BJP Govt was in power.

See what those clowns are saying..... they are infact supporting your point. As long as the UPA was in power, jobs were intact. Now that UPA is in danger of going and the BJP monkeys are coming to power, jobs will disappear. Corporates know what is coming up.Ha ha.

This proves that the media is in cahoots with the Chor Congress. They could have made this as an election issue in national interest.

Job Cuts
by arungopal agarwal on May 14, 2009 04:53 PM

In this recession, only govt. servants got their salary doubled in last year, each year they earn increment with increase in DA, and a guarantee to serve 60 years of age.
India is young, we have 65% population less than 35, we must retire people like army where a jawan is retiring after earning pension i.e. at 40 and even a Lt. Col. retires at 50, High injustice is being done to young blood.
