by arialuser on Mar 07, 2009 01:03 PM  | Hide replies

To save their asse*s the middle management is making people to slog more than 14 hrs. Its up to company to reduce the salary but cannot increase working hrs on its own. Its health & social hazard to employees.
Can such companies be sued?

Two of my friends got sacked in a Strange way. They were not informed anything. One morning, the HR called them and told them they are sacked. They are not even allowed to enter their cabin. Told another person to get all thier things.

Is this Human ? They were treated as Alien.

For all private company employees a general rule is to run your family below 66% of income and buy things when you have money in hand. Fools in IT sector forgotten it thus destroying Indian market. They should face the music now.

What ever Obama is doing its correct for their country dont take me wrong but this is what is the reality some one has to lose some one has to gain then only the cycle will run. "IF OUR LEADERS DONT START THINKING ABOUT THE PEOPLE" then ONLY GOD CAN HELP US.

Fully agreed. We in our democarazy, don't even allow our own citizens from the neighbour states SOS policy. It is hightime, our leaders start working to make use of our countrymen in all areas of work, requirements immediately. We don't allow foreginers to work in our country like we are allowed elsewhere.Instead of amassing wealth . our leaders - Politicians must wake up to help all sections of our country.

Yes. That's true. He is doing for his country development. Our great leaders should wake-up atleast NOW and do something for India. Great Chidambaram told earlier that recession will never affect india's economic. Now what is happening.????

by startraveller on Mar 07, 2009 12:56 PM  | Hide replies

IT companies are behaving bigger than the constitution and exploiting employees. They are making people work more that 12 hrs. If any employee is not interested in working more that 9 hrs he is fired.

Its not about the fat pay. The pay can be slashed. Or people can be laid off. But increasing work hours is hazardous and unconstitutional.

People should sue companies doing this.

Time to stand up and say Jai Ho
by Niranjan Rao on Mar 07, 2009 12:46 PM

We had been looking westwards for the past century and rightly so. Like Amartya Sen says there is an opportunity for us to rise above short term gains and start investing in the nation. There is so much development left in this country and the market is evolving every day in favour of those who are clear about their values and vision. Time to say Jai Ho India and get back to doing the right things which we must have done since independence.
