I think London and Washington are the worst culprits. They have the technology to duplicate the currency of any country and will do so to overcome their own financial crisis.

Fake notes
by Ajit Birdi on Jun 28, 2009 03:43 AM  | Hide replies

How do you know they come from Pakistan, and are not printed in India itself to start with,
they can be from any where in the world.
Only two years ago a big printing plant in London,UK was raided and ceased by the police they printed fake currency of an country in the world and any denomination and quantity all on order.
Ask for a million fake Euros of your choice and you will get them crisp and brand new.
One just paid them with genuine currency and in the country they want mostly Switzerland.
now to check that the note is fake.Just buy yourself an Identity pen and it will tell you in seconds if the currency is fake.
It only cost you few cents and just look like a permanent marker but save you lot of trouble,if the note is fake its ink turns red if it is genuine it turns blue.
it is also banks responsibility to ensure no Fake currency passes their doors in or out.if it can be done in UK by Indian banks such as ICICI,Punjab and Sind Bank,State bank of India, Bank of Broda etc and every bank in UK and europe( they have to comply with bank of England regulations)I am sure it can be done in India as well.
But rest assured after all that security in UK fake notes still appear on market now and then.
One is guaranteed that he/she will never get a fake note from bank counter or ATM.
No country is 100% proof and safe.
Just Google fake currency detectors and you will see all types available the choise is yours.

If you didn't know that Porkistan has been doing this to destabilize Indian currency for the last 60 years, then I advise you to not bring your ignorance on to this board. You seem to be foaming at the mouth. Go and wash it

the trouble with you is that you don;t love India but is obsessed with India there fore you are not ready to accept any thing bad that can happen in India and buy indians.
Read my comment again and you will see that not only Pakistan but others are to blame as well.
Grow up and start thinking
As for foaming it it is your mouth that needs washing, since you think India is so pure that no evil can ever happen within the borders of India.
get out of the cocoon and get into reality.

Introducing card is best way to beat fake curreny
by sixto dsilva on Jun 28, 2009 01:02 AM  | Hide replies

I think govt should make compulsory rule the each person should have card , this can resolve to some extent the fake currency circulation. i think in India 60 to 70% people don't have card , they will just have hard currency which naturally causes all these fake currency scams. I not sure it is done by Pak or Nepal or Bangla but definitely some of blame should go to India also. there are people in India who helping for this cause. I think local goons and Govt official are also responsible.Common people don't know or will not understand whether a give note is fake or really. I think govt should come up with some concrete plan to avoid putting the common man in trouble.

Every one knew this was coming. This is economic terrorism, and given the extremely soft position of the Congress on any form of terrorism, this was only waiting to be declared. Of course nothing will happen except for some cosmetic pathwork- because the government does not wish to control it. With the media portraying conventional terror attacks publicly, the Congress has chosen to ask its perpetrators to switch to the less visible, but equally or potentially more devastating form of economic terror.

Every Govt Project a Contractor executes in India
* he must give 10% of project value as commission aka party fund to govt irrespective of the political party in Government.
* he must spend 20% on local goons and Govt Officials so that they do not DELAY, DISRUPT and DESTROY the project work
* he gets 20% profit before tax.
Hence only 50% is spent on the project. And in extreme cases, it is just 17% as Rajiv Gandhi had openly acknowledged.
In 2008 alone $100 billion has gone to black economy (Indian budgetary expenditure is 205.3 billion)

Common man and 1000 rupee note
by George Kavalakatt on Jun 27, 2009 09:13 PM

1000 rupee note was introduced by RBI for people who handle large amount of black money (may be due to political pressure). As a common man (middle class as we call in India) do not need a 1000 rupee note.

Upper middle class use cards/cheques for almost all transactions. I do not remember the last time i used a 1000 rupee note.

Lower middle class would never need a denomination greater than 500.

People at risk are the ones who converted their 100 and 500 for easily hiding those blacks.

What will you do if accidentally you got fake currency?
by reddy sreenivas on Jun 27, 2009 09:07 PM  | Hide replies

What will you do if you accidentally get fake currency notes in an ATM of a bank. If you want to sue against the bank then you have to prove that the currency you have taken is from that particular ATM. then who will give you evidence. Offcourse if you give evidences why should the bank bind over to your evidences? Thus the problem will not be solved. The permanent solution to the problem is only when the government which is going to allot a unique id card to every citizen if insists on every citizen to deposit the entire currency with each and every person with the government and in return the government should give a debit card type instrument which will always show the real balances in the name of a particular person. Thus by making such an arrangement not only the fake currency but also the block money can be controlled and every persons cash balances are openly identifiable. So let us advise our government to take steps to ban the currency notes and introduce unique id cards which also work as debit cards. The uneducated and rural people may be confused but gradually they can understand the real use and they also can be well accustomed to this new habit. If India succeeds in implementing this then this will be the best solution to all corruption activities and illegal activities as the transfer of value can be clearly identifiable. So let our government take right steps.

Compensate

RBI must compensate a counterfeit note for a genuine note since it is not fault of the bearer.

If a fake currency note is doctored to such an extent that it is next to impossible to distinguish it from genuine one then RBI should either accept it as a genuine currency or it should compensate the bearer.
