States and regionalism

For effective administration in India, all states should be abolished and elected district councils should be set up in all districts of the country.

THE STATUS OF HYDERABAD
by Vascado on Dec 11, 2009 09:50 AM  | Hide replies

With the Central Government having decided to form Telangana, the status of Hyderabad has become the bone of contention. The best option if Telangana does become a reality is to make Hyderabad as a Union territory on the lines of Chandigarh. The Central Government should announce as soon as possible of this decision which will in a way eliminate all confusion.

What is the best way out now given that Hyderabad has become a bone of contention between Telangana and other areas of AP ? If Hyderabad becomes the Capital of Telangana, the other areas of AP will lose out. So, the best way possible is only this.

CAPITAL

Make hyd the capital of telengana connected by shamshabad airport.
make secunderabad the capital of andhra, connected by begumpet airport(it can be restarted). that way business people will not get affected.
All andhra schools can be shifted to secunderabad and telengana schools to hyderabad.
tank bund is the LOC between andhra and telangana.
HA HA HA. If congress can take overnight stupid decisions, so can i as a common man. What is the difference? I am confident that i too can make a wonderful politician.
Such is the state of affairs in our place

I think
by Sunil Kumar on Dec 11, 2009 09:48 AM

What has happened in AP is a bad precedent for others to follow suit. I think being backward does not entitle a place to get seperated from its other parts.

What is going on in AP is just a political gimmick and there is a competition in who is going to have an upper hand.

I think what should have been a movement for equitable development has wrongly been associated with seperation as the only solution. For some little gains, these people are doing a major harm to the public at large.

It is time to reconsider the decision taken in haste and bring on table the aggrieved and look into how the uderdeveloped areas can be a point of focus for more development.

Today when I talk to many people in IT.
Everybody feel that only Telangana people can work now in Hyderabad.

They are now exploring new option outside Hyderabad, many people are in interest of selling their property ASAP & go out side.

In india all the major cities were developed to this extent only because of outsiders.

We are dividing this country. in a different way, it is very dangerous.

When did Hyd have a native Telugu culture???
Hyd has traditionally been a city of the Nizams.
It is only the rise of TDP and the NTR era that triggered Telugu population movement into Hyd.
Hyd culture has always been independent of Andhra culture and will always remain so.
