Don't count the chickens before they are out
by Soderling on Dec 11, 2009 10:25 AM

There is still lot of politics to be played out on the Telangana issue and it is not yet given. Already we see the TDP once again flexing its muscles against Telangana having committed itself to it in 2009 elections. It was stridently opposed to bifurcation of AP from the beginning before it decided to take a U turn. Now once again Naidu has come full circle dithering on the issue once again. The Congress will watch the TDP's moves and will more likely shift the blame on TDP for lack of consensus on the issue to decide the separate State. Therefore it is premature to count the chickes before they are out.

Telangana is a state issue. Its rediculouos that The UPA govt gave a single word go ahaead without taking into consideration many aspects of governace. It is also stupid on the part of The so called Congress leadres to leave the decision on one single person nd then create a ruckus. If The people of Andhra cannot live together and continue to fight evewry year , asking for a seperate state whayt is the use of unity by people of coastal Andhra.Did the poeple of Telangana build Hyderabad , did tjhe people of telangana strive for the progress of Hyderabad, If it is the the capital Of Andhara let it remain the Capital of Andhra.Peoples sentiments have no place in the fromation of a seperate state. If that is the case then peoples sentiment is also that we need to stay togehter as one united state. UNITED WE STAND DIVIDED WE FALL

Democracy V/s Anarchy and Factionism at its best.
by Indian Guru on Dec 11, 2009 10:18 AM

What a U turn from all the leaders of Andhra CBN, Chiranjeevi etc.. etc.. This is a kin to black mailing that has been going on for years and years. Costal and Seema are factionists in nature and the attitude that they have displayed explains the backwardness of Telangana Region.

They have shown today that the only way they can survive is by suppressing Telangana and its people. Its been going on 50 years. They come with every crap explanation in the world when talking about backwardness.

They talk about their investments, their properties, their industries that itself shows their discriminatory nature.

They want the cake and pie for themselves, plus they have continously crushed the growth of the Telangana people since 50 years.

Two major river flows but Telangana lands are dry, the ony reason they give is water cannot be diverted upstream without trying to resolve of listen to advice of experts.

When a revolt occurs in Telangana it is lathicharge and 20 students are killed in 2009 and 350 students in 1969.

When a revolt occurs in Costal and Seema not even an insect is injured.

This is one of the few examples, there is no way that the democratic nature of Telangana people can go with Factionist mindset of Andhra people.

Compensation formulaes can always be worked out for money.

BTW none of the so called settlers will be going out of Hyderabad as they understand what freedom and democracy is all about.

New States
by arungopal agarwal on Dec 11, 2009 10:17 AM  | Hide replies

Experience says, smaller states are better managed, so if the States are over populated and it is felt can be better managed, it should be encouraged. But for political reasons and to encourage regionalism-a dangerous act.

You wil find the best investment culture and enterpreneurial culture in Hyderabad and Telangana. Its all about the local people.

It is because of them People from across India can come an invest. You will not find a Bengal type agitation. Even when the Hyderabad airport was constructed in one of the Telangana District. 5600Acres of private land was acquired in no time. People felt that was more important and just took the paltry compensation given by Government.

This investment spree will continue throught Telangana if it is formed.

I bet you cannot make a single investment in Vijayawada or Kurnool or anyother location in Costal and Rayalseema.

They believe in keeping things to themselves.

This is out of context. Telangana people have been ruled over since 460 years. Even before Independence in 1937 people of Telangana had advocated a seperate state since Costal Andhra and Rayalseema was under Madras Presidency, they had already acquired huge wealth, education, while Telangana people where invovled in fighting a double war both against the British and Nizams.

They agreed to a unified Andhra Pradesh only after Jawaharlals Nehrus Assuarance and a 6 point agreement that a leader from Telangana will be deputed as Dy CM. Since day 1 of formation all of the 6 points were kicked aside, because of their numerical strength. What has happened today is what Telangana leaders always feared. They never wanted to open the Pandoras Box and always yearned for development.

With this numerical strength they have always dominated the polticial scene and worse development of Telangana and expenditure is always on paper but never directly implemented. This section of the money has always gone in their pockets and that is the same money they have invested in Hyderabad as a decoy as a barrier for Seperate State.

My dear Gujus, Marwaris, jains, Agarwals and Banias in whole please change your meaning for Business Investment and allign in according to the Andhra and Costal people.

But it seems that the people of other region are intent to make the 4 crore people dependent, poor, povert, illiterate and deprived in their own mother land.

Since everyone is talking about history and ask for separate states, why not we call Britishers back and ask them to rule for some more time.

So that Rest of India fights a revolution against the British and you enjoy the patronage you've received during Madras Presidency.

It seems for you that the British are the reverred Gods.
