Where is this country heading to?
by sachin nandwani on Dec 11, 2009 10:12 AM  | Hide replies

Where is the Country Going To?

It started with Jharkhand, Chattisgarh, and Uttrakhand.... Now all think they'll get one.

Telangana, another proposed addition to the country. Another hole in the pocket of tax payers. Renaming of roads, addresses, authorities, districts, departments, police, legislative assembly, hospitals, universities, letter heads, visiting cards, telephone numbers, service providers, schools.....and other endless entities...WHAT FOR??

For Some stupid politicians who just want to capture the votes by showing solidarity and commitment towards a bloody region/caste/group??? What will happen if a new state will be created?? Will the people get a better standard of living? Will they become richer, better educated, less dependent on the GDP of the rest of the country, have a higher per capita income than their fellow countrymen?

No. Nothing of the sort is gonna happen. The only thing that's gonna happen is the poor will become poorer. The politicians will just have a roll..Tenders will be passed for changing everything, scams will happen yet again, public money will be spent without their knowledge or permission, and the politicians will go all the way laughing to the banks..

Don't worry, you are sitting away from all this. Not a part of it right?? Wait till it hits you...wait till they too say that in hyderabad, only telangaiites will be employed. No Delhiite, no Mumbaiite, no other Indian! a la Raj Thackeray.

well said sachin, it doest not help our country when it is being divided on the lines of region. God knows what will Raj Thackeray is going to demand now? It is definitely a very costly affair and a needless one indeed. Politicians should give atleast some concern over rising prices, checking criminal activity, improving lives of people, etc....
Their eye is on the vote bank. Rediff gave a title like "freedom at midnight"
Why?
Why?
Then what about the days when we were under the British rule? When we were kicked and killed by them? Well this is not freedom, this act of bifurcating a state now at this period, it is a luxury and assurance of governance.

What KCR/TRS wants
by Rama Rao on Dec 11, 2009 10:07 AM  | Hide replies

The moment PC announced that telangana state will be given, TRS folks started saying that Hyd must be in it. They're more concerned than looting Hyd riches than development of telangana. Otherwise, can't they develop telangana if Hyd is not part of it ?

A stranger is a stranger. Be a Roman in Rome.

It seems that you dont have the grit and determination to develop yor own place.

I hope there is some change in your mindset. Why do you want to settle in Hyderabad when the Capital City of Vijaywada or Vizag and Costal Andhra could be the future Singapore and Malaysia.

Why doesn't Chandra Babu Naidu, Chiranjeevi and jagan dream such a state for their own people. With Telangana in Andhra Pradesh such a thing can never happen.

Its time you revisited your mindset for once and for all. This movement will never stop until the states are seperated. This will only delay your growth.

The more backward a region is tossed into, more the revolutions and characters of a revolution changes to violence after prolonged delay.

If a seperate Telangana is formed, the backwardness of Telangana will not be your headache.

Right! They could not develop Telangana. Noe they want to doom Hyderabad. Imagine corn and paddy cultivated around Hussainsagar lake.

A surname Kulkarni is a stranger to Hyderabad and Andhra Pradesh or was under the patronage of Nizam. You are too inexperienced and out of context to discuss policitcal nature of Telangana or AP.

BTW because of few outsiders in Hyderabad from all walks of the life and country you cannot depreive 4 crore people belonging to Telangana region.

Telangana people can cause no bodily harm or injury as they have to be bound by the Constitution of India.

Even in the recent agitation of such large scale, they have made sure that none of the settlers were injured or greviously injured. Yes property destruction in the form of breaking the window panes across the way is quite possible and It is a minor issue in revolution of this scale.

But more than that the saddest part of the revolution was the loss of lives in ballant display of power on students and we forgot the count of those injured and greviously injured.

Can you take that, If it happened to one of your own member of your community or region.

My learned friend If you are on rediff blog we can survive anywhere across the globe, whether part of Telangana or Rayalseema or even Jharkand.

But think about the people for whom this region is the only world that they can survive in.

That is what Democracy is all about.

Our Prime Minister MMS after giving due consideration of all aspects decided on Telangana.

He knows how to assure the IT & Pharma Industry. He is also capable of attracting more Foreign Investment to Telangana/andhra.

Indian growth story has already taken off & we have experienced MMS to steer the economy.

Dont waste your precious time posting hate messages here.

Have fun !!!

PM is smart but need not favour Telangana. Just now I was watching a Tamil Nadu business analyser telling in SUN TV. He was telling TN would be benefited if Telangana is formed. Because of confusion in AP businessmen and industrialists are likely to move to TN instead of AP. God save AP from the deviders.

This requires and urgent and early solution, by doing enmasse resignation Costal Andhra nd Rayalseema MLAs have violated democracy and have shown that there are a power unto themselves and projected a very wrong signal for the entire country.

It is vindicated the stand of the Telangana people that these leaders from the two regions are actors of the No. 1 Grade and all the assuarances over the years where just false assuarances and promises.

Sonia Gandhi in the center had to take the call as after repeated assuarances since the past 9 years that the bill will be presented was never tabled and it would have never been tabled eitherway hence the center had to interefere.

Today the leaders like Chandra Babu Naidu, Chiranjeevi look paltry and petty and behaving as if the state is their fiefdom.

Telangana is no Jharkand. There is lot of intellectual capital, people are hardworking, dedicated and intelligent. If it is lacking it is lacking political direction. That can never be achieved in united
Andhra Pradesh. The culture and language Dialect of Telangana is entirely different from Costal Andhra and Rayalseema.

10 Districts of Telangana including Hyderabad has only 119 Assembly seats.
9 Districts of Costal Andhra have 123 Assembly Seats.
4 Districts of Rayalseema has 52 Assembly Seats.

Both of the regions have taken this numerical advantage for a very long time. And todays scenario is the same.

Crap Namit... am from North and have worked both in Hyd and Pune. Pune doesnt even come close to Hyd wrt Roads, Infra, Public amenities. And ppl over thr are immensely cooperative and cordial. After Del, Hyd has always been a second home. Unlike Pune where every 2nd native, from autowallah to bus driver to traffic policemen to local Shivaji brigade is looking for option to alienate. Pune doesnt even deserve to be compared with place like Hyd.

Hey guys.. Cool..

Dont try capturing investments which are supposed to come to AP..

Marathwada can be added to Andhra Pradesh.
by Namit on Dec 11, 2009 09:56 AM  | Hide replies

To make life easier, Marathwada, which was infat part of Secundrabad state earlier, should be now made part of AP. and Vidarbha should be added as a new state.

To solve the burning issue Maharashtra and Karnataka Border, Kolhapur, Satara, Dharwad, Hubli should be united to make a seperate state.

Big states should be divided to be Managable and Effective.
by sunil pujari on Dec 11, 2009 09:55 AM

Concept of big states is failure going by the experience of Bihar , U.P as the people living in different part of state have their own traditions and customs and administration of big states is not able to satisfy the people from all regions it is better to have small states so that the people can elect their representative and force him to perform and is held responsible for their region.
