by abhishek pushp on Aug 04, 2009 09:25 PM

Indians of course are innovative. They know 1.all the methods to circumvent law,
2.to break rules and not to be punished
3.How to save tax even on taxable income

Where is India in the list? Our stock market is the fastest growing in the world? Our education system is the largest in the world which produces the maximum number engineers, doctors, MBAs, MCAa, BAs, BSc, and Nursing etc. We have best brains in the world?

The general perception is that India is country of followers but not inventors. However, we had Kalidasa who visualized Aircraft, genious like Vivekananda, and leader like Gandhi. But, yes, they are old stories.

You are right...all you have mentioned is happening because of our population, I mean quantity and not quality. How do you say we have best brains in the world. What did we invent and what we have done to this world?

there is hardly any product of international standards and quality which has Made in India tag. It's just not possible.Quality and India are 2 diametrically opposites.

can you indian boys stop crying and actually say in specifics on how india is innovated?

HOW did they make any latest cars/airplanes/etc?

India's electronics is a joke...

In S.Korea, we can point our smartphones to the sky and it tells us the weather...
We point our phones to beverages and 3D advertisement appears on our phone...

We have digital media CITY with ubiquitous network that links every houses/street lights/buildings....

We have largest electronics/LCD monitors/Cell phone/memory chips/etc..

What does India have in specifics.. please tell

i beg to differ.go to any road side mechanic.see the tools hehas to innovate as he does not have the proper facilities.go anywhere in india and people are innovating in their own ways either because they dont have the facilities or are financially not capable to own.kindly do not be little the recent indian innovations.lot of software in the mobiles ,latest cars, airplanes etc. are being innovated in india.boeings next generation aircraft software and some engineering.we indians have the tendency to look down on ourselves.as for quality you can still see some old beat up bajaj scooters on the roads as well as the ambys and premier padminis.i find indian products more solid than the chinese and some imported from advance countries.

innovative India
by Mungara Reddy on Aug 04, 2009 05:41 PM

1. India knows how to screw well produce more. In the innovative priority list first place Government funds plans that help those families having more children bundled with poverty. Finding funding schemes is india way that too for the poor and not checking the population growth.

As always, this ranking is a joke
by Superman on Aug 04, 2009 05:33 PM  | Hide replies

A bankrupt nation like Iceland is on the list....So, is it "innovative bankrupcy"? All those innovations of Iceland were counter-productive....

Now, no top 10 innovative nation list cannot be completed without Germany, the largest exporter of the world. I have worked in South Korean giant Samsung. Most of the innovation there done in US and EU....In Korea, its all about re-engineering......

In India, in the rural level, there are a lot of innovations...but that does not come up systematically....US and Japan must be at the top 10, along with France...French innovations are excellent, but due to Leftist bias, they cannot make them productized...Germans and Americans take the idea and make products from French innovation....

Netherland is another innovative country.....Hong Kong and Singapore no way come in the list...most HQs of Engineering companies are there to avoid taxes....and they are inundated with Indians and Chinese.....

Scandanavia is innovative....But this survey is junk.....

Yours are very valid points. I will agree 100% with you. As you said, still, USA and Japan, followed by Germany should be at top.

Samsung has over 250 000 workers, not counting million another workers who sell/move/work with their products.
You saying that you've worked for them has no credibility..

S.Korea has consistently been ranked the most innovated by every single respected rankings. So I don't know what you're saying...

It's all about re-engineering?
Since you mentioned Samsung, they created the first 3D tv. They are the largest electronic company. They hold the sole monopoly to dozen categories..
They make refridgerators that tells you what food is in it with their expirary dates.

S.Korea is the most wired nation..
Smartphones in S.Korea and in the rest of the world are as differant... We point our phones to products before we buy them and it compares it's prices to it's competitors..

So please learn something before you talk.
