Change the name of Satyam forthwith
by arun gogoi on Apr 20, 2009 04:14 PM

There is no second thought on changing the name of the tainted name of the company. Name should be Soft Mahindra instead of Satyam. I strongly recommend this name to match your present company. Arun Gogoi CA

Harish Bijoor was my Branding professor at MBA...and What he is saying is true.

An line Bijoor says has to be added here : Branding is a Thought..and here in this case the Thought " that was considered one of India Inc's jewels till four months back" has made the country same in the international IT market... Satyam has not only effected us in Tangible values but has created difficulties for other IT Companies.

Re branding is required here.

satyam will remind people of 'asatya' 'fraud' and 'cheating' to people of this country and so also the international communities. It is always better to retain the name if it has some significant and meaningful 'brand-value' and the satyam has none as of today. it is in the interest of Mahinda Tech to change the name of satyam to some thing new, auspacious and innovative before they get into major international business transactions. how about 'Development Plus solutions?'

Satyam was owned by our Tamilians so other people are envied. The sacking of Satyam was a big politics ofnorth Indian business group. But if this trend is continued than or country will go to hell.

Even today British people can rule us bcoz of such region/religion based thinking. We Indians are never united, thats why we were never able to become a developed country like America or any other European countries even though we have the best brains in the world.

It doesn't really matter whether "Satyam" was founded and possesed by Telgu or Tamil. There is no doubt that these kinds collosal companies have been sacking from time to time in this cursed country. Nobody ever tried to know the reason behind it. I am a retired CBI officer and I know that all these are the results of some foul plays, played by the majority of north Indian business groups. Their men join in these targeted companies in managerial and other bureautic posts, than they start operating them on their own, use their notorious brains, conspiracies and wrong ideas, to drag these companies on the verge of complete collapse. These statesmen earn with both hands. Atlast those broken companies are either occupied by some north Indian tycoons or merged to others

Satyam should be rechristened as " Satyam Tech International" so that the flavour of the old brand and reputation of being International with serious partners as 'Tech' is visible

by Keenwriter on Apr 20, 2009 04:02 PM

Satyam name should be phased out. What an irony .. the name is satyam but Ramalingaraju brothers carried out asatyam activities.. What a shame.
The entire family of Ramalingaraju and his brothers should pay for the loss.
High time the name is renamed.
