What is funny

there is a big difference between the other billionaires and indian billionires. The other industrial billionaires like Bill Gates, Larry Ellison, LArry Page etc have also created companies that have had heavy impact on the world ( microsoft, google etc ) but the Indian billionaires dont have any world renowned products. They merely loot Indians while dont even pay enough to their employees to become rich. Tell me one product from Tata, reliance, infy or the birla group that has had an impact all over the world at least 0.1% of what impact google and microsoft have had....dont say NANO - it is not yet proven and at best it will be used by people in INdia who can not afford other cars. INdians just want to think they are great people, what a pity~

Dont belittle the efforts of Indians just because they dont have a product recognised worldwide. Is that a criteria for success? Warren Buffet is one of the greatest Wealth Creators but he doesnt have a product like Microsoft. Does that make him anyway inferior?

Laxmi Mittal is a Steel Tycoon who controls the worlds Steel production. Lets respect the efforts of Indians like Ambanis and Tatas who have reached this position by their sheer determination and innovativeness.

Warren Buffet is known for his investment banking skills. What are Ambanis known for? Just use reliance india call from the US, you will know how pathetic their services are.

What efforts have they put in? their fathers left them huge assets and these spoilt kids are just making money out of it that is all. Also note that most of the other billionaires are self made, in India a lot of them are spoilt kids getting decent companies from their fathers and then the economic boom has made them rich

The Ambanis have built the worlds largest Petrochemicals plant and refinery at Jamnagar. You seemed to have very little knowledge about Indians. Read more about Indians also. You will than respect their achievements.

they might have built the world largest plant? but what record do they have as being good employers? they make money for themsellves while paying so badly for other employees. YOu can be so proud of them. If you want me to say Ambanis are great I can say it. However, it doesnt change anything - they wont become better employers, they wont come with products of ultimate standards, they will continue to make money.

Laxmi Mittal is as Indian as brick is a bread. 1. He doesnt want to live in India. 2. He do not have a single plant in India.

Japanese cars, german vehicles, japanese cameras are also so popular worldwide....nothing from INdia is so unless you want to claim the same about INfy TCS . However, in their case, it is not that they are doing the most innovative work, they are just doing the work that others dont want to do.

I support GERMAN MODEL for India.

So which model for India given our massive poverty and backlog of poor people suitable ? American model which generates billionaires like crazy or German model of Small and medium cutting edge firms and great caring by government like free medical, free education, free pension, and even free unemployment benefit in case you lose jobs ? Not to mention Germans work only 7-8 hour a day and still generate very high quality and high productivity product which commands top prices in world markets. No wonder even with germany having only 3% of population of China still exports MORE !

governement of India will give free poison. We will not take the best from everywhere but the worst from every where - on one hand we recklessly promote big businesses like Reliance, TAta etc on the other hand we dont have any social benefits, there is no concept of good public health system. We want to claim we are talented but the fact remains that India is a greatest killer of talent with pseudo policies. Ask any successful Indian professor in the US and he will give you the same answer because they know how their talent will be treated if they work for India.

Very right. Ambanis, DLF all are bribers and users of monopolistic practices and selling their products at highly INFLATED prices. Just like DLF making a house at Rs 5 lakhs and then selling it at 75 lakhs.

They are all paper billionaires whose values of stocks are so high due to so called stock market boom jumping from 4000 in 2003 to 20,000 in 2008, not real wealth.

False pride. Europeans work only 6 to 8 hours a day, enjoy generous benefits like free medical, free pension, free unemployment benefits, and a generous 6 weeks paid vacations while average Indians slogs out 24-7.

I really don't understand, the person who turn around railways and behaving like a Management Guru at universities and during budget session, couldn't use his Management Fundas and skills for developing his own state Bihar in 15 years.

And now he will go to mumbai for Chhatt Puja.

By your logic more billinaires = Automatically higher living standard of average people. truth is different. India is below 110 countries on what really matters, the purchasing power parity per capita income.

See Germany, They dont have many billionaires or too many giant corporations but their products are best in the world, No wonder despite having only 3% population of China or India forthat matter still export $1.2 trillion every year.

Productivity and per capita income matters more than billionaires who are simply monopolists or hoarders of money.

Germans on an average are very well off having free medical care, free education, and overall higher standard of living as well.

Why are we following American model of greed, hoarding, and monopolistics practices and feel even false stupid pride when someone from west come up with such grandiose lists ?

the liability of billionaires to the society ends just after paying the tax .nothing more . thats what capitalism is . more value to society is more money . thats the truth.nature is neutral . there is no virtue in poverty . its the duty of government to take care of poor

Dear Gopi, i am talking about top 10 and GRANDIOSE headline of Ambani as a top wealth creator in the world.

Billionairs only means wealth concentrated in a few hands.

What has common man got but inflated property prices and life of filth with high living costs, no government pension, no free healthcare, no free education despite billionaires galoring ?

India has more billionaires in top 20 than USA, Germany, France, Australia, canada combined where as we all know how superb these countries are with 9 to 10 times per capita income and very high quality of life while majority of Indians live in squalour and poverty and still India has more billionaires than USA, means only somethign is seriously wrong in either the brain of people who are celebrating or the system itself.
