Left's supporters in Kerala and Bengal are thinking. We coted for Left to oppose Congress. Instead of that, Left is supporting Congress in Centre. Next time we will directly cote for Congress. We don't need a middlemen like Left.

Think of suppoting them than writing off the loan.
by kaladhara saralaya on Feb 29, 2008 04:33 PM  | Hide replies

Our farmers are not strangers. They are none other than the elderly parents of the citi dwellers. What the govt should do is to de congest the cities and see that the population moves to villages and create demand for farmers and other work force.

I have a sugessition to our belowed FM .

By tax incentives move industries to town level and industrialise the entire country as a whole. This would help the educated and other man power of the surrounding locations to improve substantially. Like how it happened in surrounding areas of city, the entire talukas will benefit from this. Disburse the industries across the country to town levels and see that the cities are decongested. This would help the nation in so many ways - like Employment at village locations, farmers will get a support for their product locally, City polution will ease out, Terrorisom will reduce substantially(since the target crowd will vanish from cities). Most importantly the cost for industries can be reduced by over 30 - 50 % since the cost of labour in town level will be cheaper compared to cities. Even the employees will benefit as the cost of living will be chaeper in towns compared to cities. Their savings will improve. This will also help to move the educated from coming to cities and congesting the cities.

More mature minds shoudl throw light in this direction

You are right Sir.

Befor moving the Industries to Taluk levels infrastrucure need to be created there. Like Un-interrupted availability of Electricity, water, communication and road and rail and air links etc.

Perhaps Industry should be given additional tax breaks and Incentives to do all above.

Incentives to ITIs (which produce the bulk of the semi skilled workforce are mostly in non metro areas) is a step in the direction.

Spiralling land costs in and around big cities will push things towards Taluks sooner.

One hopes demand -supply logic plays its role.

Best wishes,

K.Srinivasan

Farmers who are honest, and pay there loans & interest regularly look like big fools now.

I know many struggle lot, cut on completely there expenses to pay loans, only farmers who haven't done that are benefited now.

Even if we get a new Government the policies will not change. After all who can go against the public sentiments? Every political party wants to stay in power for long.
