farmers loan
by ajit vijay borge on Mar 01, 2008 04:04 PM

I think a decision to waive off loan to the farmers having less than 4 hector land is a good move to save our farmers from the costlier living cost, Presently farmers having land less than 4 heactors does not have more than 2lac per annum income,
only I think this should be done for area which is not irrigated and no facility of irrigation is avaible, and those whose lands are under irrigation zone and not dependent on rain, their loan should not be waived off

What message does this give to people n world....Loan defaulting loans is good practice ??

Farmers are already....given loans at low rates....why Wiev-offs ?

If you See reality....No Farmers get Loans....Such Farmer Loans are only given to Political people who Show farm lands to hide their Black money.......

This money will never reach poor farmer......All money will be eaten by corrupt Bank Employess, Govt Employess and Politicians.

Also more than 3 packages and lots of money (above Rs 2000 Crore) is been wasted on Minority for what?......Why are they been treated Specially.......Hipocracy of Congress.....such a Moraless/Howard Party.

Agreed Income tax of Salaried People is reduced but this was on the card n Expected....nothing to get too cheered about it.
Overall its very poor budget....Shame to Congress.

Aam Admi should never Forgive Congress for this....throw them out from power......they will always remain hipocrats

i completely agree with u. Actually there shld b a system to track why the loan has been taken and where its been used and wht abt the farmers who paid the loan regularly. they r fools or wht?
then give loan waiver for all credit card holders and two wheeler loan holdres also as they r also commiting sucide due to the banks.

FM completely forgot or left the pace of development of the country. the subsidies & concessions were only to bag the votes of people on coming elections. now due to rupee appreciation the exporters faced loss in each sector especially textiles. who care for them. i don't know budjet gonna credit for whom? There's no indication about inflation, anti-inflationary measures, restrain of global economic environment influences on our economy, domestic small scale investors & so on.UPA must take care of us...

Election agenda!!
by Manoj Mehta on Mar 01, 2008 11:22 AM  | Hide replies

I will not call it as a financial & economic budget for India.

It is an election agenda by a political leader.

What are the steps taken for boosting the economy? Where is the stuctured changed in import & export to take care of economy slowdown? Where are the incentive factors for boosing the economy.

This is a budget with only 2 point agenda. Please Farmers & increase the IT limit. FM has not put any thoughts on other parameters which is going to govern the progress of this country.

This budget is mainly aimedat garnering votes from farmers, woking class, women, minorities, etc. This Congies led UPA govt. did not bother to address the core problems faced by majority of small & poor section of the farmers, some of them had to to commit suicides during the last four years during this congie led UPA rule. Why all of a Sudden this year they realised the need to help the farmers? Becoz congies will go to polls very soon this year after signing the Indo-U.S.nuclear deal so that commies will becompelled to withdraw support.Congies think that this budget announcement will benefit them in the polls as early as possible & commies will be held responsible for the fall of the UPA govt.So friends dont get carried away by this year's political budget of F.M./Sonia.

No doubt that the waiving of loan is good move for he farmers, but it is not the only way to improve the farmers, there should be another corrective measures to improve the farmers status, like prices what they are geting for there product it should be increses, some advance machinary should be provided to them, good quality of agriculture training for the poor and illiterate farmers, there should some extra additional benifit to the farmers so that the can live a better life and Contry will also hope for the best prospectus in future as the agriculture is the backbone of our econoy .
