Fill indian economy with self respect and genuine growth rates
by kasi viswanadham on Feb 28, 2008 02:39 PM  | Hide replies

Rat race is over. Unless rules switch to Ghandian philosophy of rural industries - manual or mechanized they can not feed people with false hopes and vote winning slogans. Unfortunately the national congress itself is not thinking about Babu now - new and modern gurus are chased and fought for to make them with different names .. Poverty do not vanish with people not having sustainable and gainful work opportunitoes. As a old man, I am bold to say that present economic situation will lead to unrest and more dissatisfaction among different sections of the society in the coming years.

Let us hope that we do justice to the people with genuine schemes.

HI
Very good suggestions

I do not why govt is not thinking of population control.
Why One community people are rowing so largely?

To,morrow they will demand for another division of the nation.

Please think about that.
Thanks

I salute you. At last some one to realise the essence of Bapu's thinking. It is not only India but world will have to go on path what Gandhiji has shown to be happy.

60 work hours per week is outrageous
by Dhorabh on Feb 28, 2008 02:34 PM  | Hide replies

Seems like FM and Babu's have decided to sell 'poor' Indian labour to the world and achieve the dream of 9% growth. They would have negotiated a good deal for sure!

We need growth but at what price. 12 hours a day and 60 hours a week is outrageous and even by third world country standards - its culpable!!!

Please, remember in 1920 (1st worl war) Germany was destroyed, in 1935 (2nd world war) it was again power in the world. To the extent that the rest of the world devided it. Germans worked without holidays because they were interested in upliftment of country rather than their own individual growth. Let us thibk in the sprit of development of country.

Inflation at 4.4% is a joke?
by Dhorabh on Feb 28, 2008 02:28 PM

Could the FM highlight how was the inflation fugure arrived at? 4.4% is a joke when we look at real estate and rental prices. Rentals have doubled and tripled in the last few years, essental commodaties have sky rocketed....hence, inflation ought to be much higher!!

We use an outdated (50 years old) formula of wholesale price index (most of which is not in the basket of goods & services of today) to calculate inflation, instead of a more accurate CPI.

The FM has been pulling wool over our eyes!!!

What People can implement in Democracy? Bring in right administrator politicians to run the country.

I am optimist and see lot of Good politicains coming on the scene......However the uneducated are also bringing lot of bad politicians ( Bad for the country) on the scene because very less percentage of educated vote.

In short term ...make all educated vote
In the long term....Educate all

I think these are the solusions
