Who care for Govt Output ?
by Balle Balle on Aug 18, 2008 12:31 PM

When Indian leader, Ministers, PM, CMs, Bureaucrats do not give any output.. how can you expect output from their employees.

As per normal labour rules, if a persons attains an age of 58 or becomes PHYSICAL INVALID, he is given retirment or dismissed but our cabinet minister including PM are all above 58 & PHYSICALLY as well as MENTALLY retarded, nobody cares. What output they can give ?

Take example of Arjun Singh, - minister has to be given physically support of 2 persons to carry him to office .. so what else you can expect from him that his job is giving employment to 2 other employees - dont tak about output.

What a joke .. and foolish article.

Government Departments are the worst
by Jayaprakash Balan on Aug 18, 2008 12:31 PM

We always comment about careless attitude of Govt. employees in discharging their duties. Its more than 75 % true but then this is happening not because of the people, but because of the system and the politicians. They want to run the sytem and govt as per their comfort and their wish. No wonder now after 50 years of people being in such system, people are not ready to change. The second point is the job security or performance measures not in place. If such things favour any person in this world, automatically he or she will become lazy and less efficient. But on the other hand, the Govt. proceedure is the best I have found rather than in private or public sector. Everything has a record and flow. The only thing is to put things in place. Otherwise I feel the Govt employees are loyal and honest. Managing such a big country with so many people in such diversities is not a joke. I personally envy them because they are the ones who live like true human beings and not machines. They have time for personal life, family, society etc. not like we private employess who have to work like machines from dawn till dusk and then we be proud terming us professionals. The only thing Govt. employees need to change is attitude, sense of responsiblity and performance measures.

Today inflation is so high , IT people are paid so high-they can enjoy all type of luxuries-infact they increase the cost of living in the city...what about govt staff-u consider army people-soldiers die hard in the border for a hike of few hundreds and thousands...why cant the govt charge on IT sector, other profit making sectors for more TAX to compensate the wage hike . Simply talking the fact that GOVT is losing money. You know President of India is also paid more per month.Members of parliament have immediately implemented the wage revision as soon as the recommendation have come.GOVT should know where to make up the losses.Without GOVT staff, the activities of GOVT will come to a STandstill.Output is slow because of lot of RUles and regulations which in private sector are easily regulated as per needs.
SO GOVT knows pay revision has to be implemented from 2006 but did GOVT remain quite by Not rising steel prices,Petrol prices,etc...So the Govt has to regulate it s policies to get the output from GOVt servents and not simply blaming about Pay hike.

Resposibilities of Govt . Servents
by Krishna Prakash Tripathi on Aug 18, 2008 12:30 PM

Impossible . The efficiency of govt officials will never improve. The only remedy is either to punish the guily publically by stonong them or allowing the dogs to attack on them while they are half in the ground.

India's pathetic condition
by Shreeram Shah on Aug 18, 2008 12:30 PM

India is hell bent due to sheer negligence by our beurocrats in top level. These suit clad people, wearing tie look very gentle but they are rawdy, corrupt, lazy(kamchor), thugs. Do you all know....maximum of top beurocrats make tour to USA, UK, Germany etc in order to learn new programme so that these could be implemented in our country but what they do...these blood suckers do sightseeing...enjoy the priveledge of five star hotels...and come back home claiming some fake bills to govt. fund.
Very few people know that all kind of corruption is done by top beurocrats....instead people use to think politicians are to be blamed for corruption... But in fact..what happens..the beurocrats do scam...make crores of money by corruption....when it gets exposed by some honest one...then these beurocrats approach politicians to take shelter. Then the poiliticians, the foolish who does not know how to read file, makes money by sharing in the earnings by the beurocrats... This is the nexus going on.... Very unfortunate condition prevails in India: on one hand the pseudo educated top beurocrats are blood suckers and on the other hand indin democracy generate foolish landgrabbers, goonda, mafia people as rulers.

Output ? Come againt..
by anand v on Aug 18, 2008 12:22 PM

Guarantee of output ? Good idea..but a bad joke on millions of Indians who pay takes that pay the salaries of babaus. The Indian public would have better off if the Government had linked the hike with productivity and performance metrics of some sort.

Perhaps this is too much to expect from the UPA who have taken this step with an eye on the Lok Sabha poll.
