Property Investments

I feel its nice article but generalising the trend in surrounding regions to metropolitan cities does not hold good as you see the law situation in Lucknow surroundings ,atleast I will nevr dare to invest 50 lakh or so in these areas.Law situation is a big factor that one has to look at and decide about buying property. What's the use of buying a place with your hard earned money and let the local goons or leaders take it over from you ,and sir this is the situation in UP/Bihar cities that its difficult to survive for an outsider who cannot speak Hindi fluently.
Well on the whole Realty sector is good for investment and is sure a profitable venture if the dealis clean and transparent.

I saw some of the response here from the people asking why not chennai / calcutta..various reasons are there..geographical / commercial / political / cosmopolitian nature / lingustic barrier / return on investment...mumbai has the highest returns...with last 2 years of investment giving you 100 - 150 %...besides the best transport services (good bus system and local rail)/ electricity (almost uncut in city and suburbs) / water supply (good quality) in the country...now compare your city and see if it should be there

Faridabad

if you consider Noida than you should also consider Faridabad which is close to Gurgaon / South Delhi / Noida and the prices are raising like crazy but Faridabad is still something affordable.

Quite obviously it looks like every person who has written rubbish about chennai here has no idea bout what he's talking. Chennai's road are some of the biggest and widest in the country. Have a look at bangalore which is eternally stuck in traffic jams. Chennai's ppl are the best and warm and balanced. The hostile crowd you are talkin about must definitely be the north indian crowd that has swarmed into and settled down in every corner of chennai. So much for criticisms of Chennai!!!

It is hard to eccept the reality... How can people say Chennai is a better place to live in .... Begolo, Odia, Punjabi, telugu , Kannad , Gujrati every one except tammilian's do not respect HINDI as national language. ... They feel themselvees accward whn someone tries to make them realize...

Tamilain's should learn from Punjabi's ... there are billons of jokes on Sardar's ... but they nver feel insulted rather become part of the fun.... They know what is their position in India... in contrast Tamilian's does not matter how much money they have do not even spend little more money for cloths... They just deny it saying they r simple .. hahahah kanzusi ki bhi koi haad hoti hai...

hi sudhir,
Tamilians dont disrespect Hindi. We just repsect tamil that's it. Get your facts straight. To be honest, linguistically we dont have any connection to hindi at all whatsoever! except for few borrowed words from sanskrit (which I also understand, we have given some to sanskrit and to other languages too).

When a report is developed about major metropolis in India and the real estate potential Chennai cannot be missed out at all. Plus, Chennai FYI has the 4th GMP (Gross Metropolitan Index eq. of GDP, but for metro) if you must know.

We dont care what your bias is!. So many jokes against sardar has nothing to do with we learning hindi or not learning it. Learning something is someones personal choice.

FYI, Hindi is not a national language it is the language of the center. Read the central government's language policy first!. India has 14 official/national languages!. just because 30% of the people speak it doesn't mean the entire population has to accept it!.

geez! you sound as though it is your right to ask us to learn hindi!.
