LALOO Yadav - Image Building for Future PM
by Shivanand Prabhu on Feb 28, 2007 11:51 AM

It is a known fact that Mr Laloo Prasad Yadav is an ACE POLITICIAN.

He is using every possible means to build an image for himself as an FUTURE CANDIDATE AS THE PRIME MINISTER OF INDIA and is very fruitfully using INDIAN RAILWAYS to reach his destination.

Its a known fact that an expert financia guy can turn around any BALANCE SHEET of an firm and laloo is just adding spice to it.

I hope Mr Laloo becomes Indian PM by 2010.

Good Luck Mr Laloo Prasad Yadav. We need a MAVERICK TO TURN AROUND INDIA.

Railway Budget 2007
by makesh ramaswamy on Feb 27, 2007 08:42 PM

Tho the budget is good, I would say we are nowhere near to "good conditions" as we compared with Railway systems in Foreign countries. The profits which we got is not due to good management, but it is due to our Population in India, wherein people are compelled to travel in abundance, so profits are growing. If one really see amentieswise, we are far far below the average minimum required.

Subway at Lucknow NR station
by VED KAMBOJ on Feb 27, 2007 04:14 PM

Subway maintenance is poorest. One light in a long toad between platforms 1 and 5. Water trickling down from top and smelling of urination. Performance of rules during the year is outstanding. Above lacuna needs urgent attention. A visit by Board member or DRM NR Lucknow may help in remediation.

Uncomfortable reserved class travel
by Ramesh Kumar on Feb 27, 2007 12:25 PM

For a long distance traveler in the sleeper class, the travel has become very inconvenient. For instance a passenger traveling from Chennai to Jammu it is very cumbersome to go to the wash basin or bath room because of the crowded boggee. Instead of three persons, four or five persons have to sit on the berth making it uncomfortable for the bonafide passengers. A passerger boards from a station, requests for a place saying that he will sit only for one hour or so, after he departs from a station, another persons repeats the same and this continues during the day time (till 10 or 11 pm). Other short distance travellers, who do not get a place on the seat or top berths roam around and others fill up the space around the wash basin or toilet. During mid of the night you will find unsererved passengers roaming here and there in search of a place. This practice makes way for entry of mischif makers too. Except a few odd number of states this practice was not so common in the past, but thanks to Lalu Ji for issuing unlimited short distance (waiting) tickets for boarding long distance reserved boggies just to earn 'profits'. This is pathetic to declare pfofits at the cost of inconvenience of bonafide long distance travelers with increased ticket charges, cancellation charges, express & superfast charges etc. The Hounrable Minister wants to make the railway travel uniform throught the country like the one in one particular state, and the day may not be far off when unresrved travelers will make a bonafide passenger travel standing . thanks...
