Left wants Chinese FDI in ports
by Samit Shrivastava on Oct 12, 2006 10:16 PM

These so called communists are totally crazy and wornout people. I have one basic question. Will Pakistan allow TCS, Infoysis or Reliance to make any investment in Karachi or Lahore or Pesahwar? Certainly not, as we have fought 4 wars with each other. They can't rely us as a potential threat. Same is the case with Sino-Indian relatiosip. Chinese are not at all trust worthy. There are precendece that Chinese did suspicious activities in India. When one Chinese software company had links with Pakistan based redical outfits and Al-Queda.

Allowing Chinese firms in ports sounds alarming as it will give them direct access to sensitive areas. And at the very same time, we can't expect that our own people won't do any thing detrimental for country for making some easy money.People are caught in past selling secret documents to alians. So, perhaps all these factors are forcing goevrnment to avoid Chinese firms.

I am not interested in discussing folly of our politicians. But, if some thoughtful and wise people have taken a good decision then we must welcome it.

One should conduct a study as to what kind of people become the leftists in India. this is the active fifth column inside India which needs to be neutralised, and a background knowledge will help to prevent this calamity to gain more importance.

both US and china should not be allowed
by karthik on Oct 12, 2006 09:33 PM

we should not allow countries like US and china because indias rise threatens both of them equally, and and also companies like ericcson which sold anti missile equipment to pakistan, for vital infrastructures like ports and telecom.Only countries which genuinely are freiendly with india like russia, france etc should be allowed.Since US is more powerful and has a stronger propanganda machinery in india, we are not able to see how it is harming indias interest like in the way it is influencing indian govt to introduce internationally untested genetically modified crops like brinjal produced by US MNCs. It is just using indian feilds as a lab to experiment. Also look at the nuclear deal and the lack of US support for Indias permanent seat in Security council

Single line policy of Communists
by Abhi on Oct 12, 2006 08:59 PM

Dear Karat, You don't have to explain your policy on each matter. You can simply say all your policies in single sentence. "We oppose everything which is good for India. We support everything which is bad for India". Very soon, I expect statement from you supporting Afzal, Supporting North Korean nuclear attacks.(You opposed Indian Nuclear attack).
Communists are the greatest patriotic party of India!!!

Commies love for Chinese
by Jaganniwas Iyer on Oct 12, 2006 08:52 PM

One can't accuse the communists in India of being patriotic or having any love for India. It would be akin to accusing a hare of not having hornms on its head. Love for the motherland simply has no place in communism. Their sickening lobbying for China is undoubtedly instigated and paid for in dollars -or yuan - by their masters in Beijing. India's security establishment has done rthe right thing in refusing the Chinese entry into so sensitive and strategic a sector like ports, but I have less faith in the foreign-educated Manmohan. This is the Chnese tactic of Sun Tzu - of silent warfare by other means - at work. But try catching our 'intellectual' media writing one adverse word about the Chinese. It's up to India's security apparatus and its nationalist elements to destroy the diabolical gameplan of China, which they're trying to put in operation through tried traitors like Karat and Yechury.

Can the left guarentee the chinese won't stab us in the back ?
by Vikramjit Singh on Oct 12, 2006 08:46 PM

What if chinese companies put monitoring equipment while building the port ? What if Chinese Intelligence come and spy on India's infrastructure ?

China is a hostile nation towards India and the LEFT should for a change be rational.

The LEFT seems to oppose foriegn investment in India while asking the govt to support Chinese Investment. I wonder who pays for the LEFT netas salary.

Left wants Chinese FDI in ports
by labrea on Oct 12, 2006 08:37 PM

It's no secret where the treacherous Left's loyalties lie - with their masters in Beijing, on whose account they're now going to bat all the way to Delhi, even threatening to bring down the UPA govt unless China's interests are accomodated. Heck, China could close her embassy without the slightest concern, as her spawn the CPI, can be relied on to further her intersts in India far more effectively than any Chinese diplomat can. And why stop at only FDI? Why not invite the dragons to take over running the govt in Delhi - the CPI has been acting as their proxy and loyal agents all along, so nothing will really change.
