Dear Editor,
This is remarkable when talking of KPO. But, I am still under the enigma that today we are talking of a selection process which still follows the old British System. Many talented people who are not qualifying into the IITs do come out in flourishing colours in the future. In INDIA we see most of the Industries are driven by so called B Grade institution Grads where the creamy layer from the IITs are settled abroad. Thanks to the Globalisation for which they are coming back to invest in INDIA with Venture Capitalists from the U.S.A and European countries. I feel that the concept of being an IITian should be generalised and other Engineering college students should be given an opportunity to spend at least one Semester in IIT during their Engineering tenure depending on their performance. Till today INDIA lacks Good Managers and people are overworked, take it any industry with biased estimations on a project to project basis because of the Money Factor and ofcourse time to clinch a deal.
Thanks and Regards

Insane Words!
by Sreenath on Dec 04, 2006 09:47 AM

God's gift to the world!Bullshit!I will agree to his words,if 75% of the IITs serve their motherland! These words from a CEO of a plastics firm, shows how mean, the guy is towards his own country! And his daughter says, there is no honesty,no decency in India,Sorry, you can always be a second class citizen in States ,licking to what others say ,but not in your own country!Mr.Ajith ,there are lot of things about the good deeds of IITians, but please don't publish interviews of IITians, who have cow-dung in their brains!

IITians and NON-IITians
by Krushna on Dec 04, 2006 09:27 AM

This article is good but the title of the article is not perhaps suitable. whereas people who are iitians will like it perhaps. I am non-iitian but I feel nice to know something from this article. I have seen that whenever there is some article on somebody trying to contribute something, people always findout some reason to criticise. It is easy to criticise but this person is really doing something good. So, first let us learn to appreciate good and then crticise the bad presentation (like the title itself). I also disagree with this title but good to know about somebodys efforts for the nation and there are numurous people in our country who may be silently contributing without anybody noticing them or without getting any real importance like IITians, let us not forget those non-iitians too.

IIT-ians are God's Gift

I had said, " IITians think they are God's gift to the world." Somehow the word think has been missed.

Sir, It is really unfortunate that hardly anyone has bothered to read what you actually said, but just went by the sensationalist (and very inaccurate) headline that rediff put up. I really appreciate the good work you are doing, and would sincerely hope that you ignore the comments of people who have spoken harsh words without bothering to confirm the facts. The cause you are serving is beyond all this, though, and may we live to see a better India through the efforts of you and others. Jai Hind!!

IIT-ians are IIT's Gift
by Rohit Khirapate on Dec 04, 2006 08:50 AM

My english is not so good like your IIT-ians so please understand. As Mr. Gandhi said IIT-ians are Gods gift. I want to tell him every person who do something different in this world is God's Gift and IIT-ians are just one of them. See if you get all things i.e Proper guidence, well managed institutions etc things then why they will not be so well trained. Tell Mr. Gandhi to visit City wise colleges and you will get to know that why people other are not able to compete with IIT-ians. There are many youngsters in India who are better than current IIT candidates but just they are not getting proper guidence they are lacking.I dont blame IIT but problem is of Education system.Private Education Institues do lots of politics in there whole system which create great problem for students. Also for engg level in many colleges not trained faculties.
Dear Mr.Gandhi just do one thing we done expect all facilities like IIT just give gud faculty and lib facility to each college and see what miracle will happen.Because these student if get atleast gud guidence then can manage rest of thing themselves

IIT-ians are god's gift
by S P Venkateshan on Dec 04, 2006 08:38 AM

It is interesting to see that the interview has created lot of negative remarks. It is but natural for people to question when the views of the person being interviewed is one sided. India has a vast human resource which, if utilised, would transform the country. Everyone is needed and not just the IIT graduates! If a person wants to stay out of the country - that includes more non IIT graduates than IIt-ians - it is his/her personal choice. There may be hundreds of reasons but not necessarily the state of the country. The country is doing very well, thanks to every individual who is working to his/her best of the ability. In my opinion, the spirit the common man of this country will one day put the country at a higher plane. Remember the common man of this country gor independence from foreign rule!
