Pkl. Monday Oct.,24th, 2005 Well it is almost the proverbial fable of scriptures as one reads the saga of MohanSingh Oberoi;it shows how a dash of of happenstance and loads of grit makes a straw rise to high stratosphere when others only peddle in morass and cynicism a lesson in eternal hope!D. Hi, this is a very inspiring article. It reaffirms the fact that it is possible to overcome difficult situations and carve a niche for one's initiatives and efforts. It also is a progressive picture of where India is coming form and directs us to positive future possibilites.
I was really went into deep to read the life story of Mr. Oberoy. Though he worked very hard, but his vision was limitless. Growth comes from Vision and it's success comes from hardwork. I belive that "His imagination was the limit". I hands off to this great Indian.
Very inspiring and encouraging story... A village boy who lost father at the edge of 6 months reached the akme of success with Prudence, perseverance and ability to work hard...and hats off to his mother. It would have been very difficult for her to pay 25 rs and ask her son to leave the village for better opportunities...There is very little we could read about her...
This is a wonderful inspiration for young people who want to go places and acheive greatness. The reporter has done a great job by bringing about Mr. Oberoi.
We (India) need exposure to such realities instead of cheap news (like robbery, rape etc). Please continue to highlight such great individuals of our country.
Mr. Oberoi, may God rest his soul, was such a modest man. His oipening of a hotel in Saudi, where there are only Western Foriegn hotels are in vogue, is a proud monument for any Indian.
Wonderful. A rags to riches story. Too good to be true, but its true. I wish 90% of our Indians could achieve 10% of Mr. Oberois achievments. A great man indeed.
