I dont think this will stop people cosuming these (harmful)drinks, infact people must be provided the same drinks at much cheaper rate with more pesticides in the drinks. I feel ashamed that public icons like Sachin Tendulkar, Shahrukh Khan, Rani Mukherji, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, Bipasha Basu, Kareena Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan, Vivek Oberoi, Aishwarya rai etc market these cold drinks by earning loads of money from our pockets. Its simple equation what many people dont understand, the 1 billion population of India is looked as huge market by all western countries. population multipled number of rupees spent on these kind of crap and useless(rather harmful) products = foriegn currency that goes out of India.
we have been lured by the fancy and attractive advertisements these companies show and thus drink them without knowing actually what it contains.the cold drinks should be thoroughly examined and if pesticides then they should be banned for ever fr india. they should actual contain the ingredients used but if these comapnies continus like this then they should have a warning in the drinks"drink at your risk"
First you leave your doors and windows wide open to let anything and everything enter in your house indiscriminately.
Then you are stupid enough to complain about the mosquitoes !
Why did you allow these two bottlers to put their feet on this soil in the first place and betrayed our own Indian bottlers ? Who made money, and how much ? Investigate them thoroughly.
Those who allowed these bottlers into India have betrayed the entire Indian population. They have compromised with their health.
There is still time to tell both these global giant mosquitoes to quit India peacefully before there is a mutiny against them.
Cancerous or not, these two names themselves are cancerous for any society.
your article on pepsi and coke containing pesticides and insecticides sent a chill down my spine. it's high time the governement came up with stringent restrictions on these mighty cola majors to protect the health of the public. media also have a role to play in educating the soft drink-crazy youth of the nation and warning them against the evils of these 'toxic concoctions in disguise'. i highly appreciate the work the done by CSE and its team of experts. time for consumer activism.
This was a good article to make people aware of the cool drinks they have. Common all of you, shift to more of natural drinks like coconut water or go for fresh juices thats prepared instantly. Health is wealth, so think about it !!!!!
