Should be on case by case

IT companies have work from home policies. During those days, women employees can work from home. For Other industries, introduce flex leave policy. The leave given to these women shall be compensated with work on Weekends. Afterall, equal employment means equal employment, in both benefits, Salary and work load.

Why Not
by SUMITH NITHIN on Mar 31, 2017 10:10 PM

If there can be a law for 26 weeks paid leave (kiska baap ka jaata hey), then why not 3 days for period pain, it is good.

All in all the women folk will have the last laugh while their employer will have to shed tears in isolation, thanks to all of this.

And we said let everybody be equal.

On the hind site may i propose as there is medical leave, casual leave, etc, let there be a provision for period leave and let that be deliberated upon, and upon consensus be taken up as a half day leave in other words half pay full day leave. So there can be a quota of fixed days for a year or a month if used fine or else no carryforward but forfeited, atleast the women folks need to get the point that their employers didnt invest their money to run a business for non productive wage payment. So half pay is the best solution if need be.

26 weeks and that became a law, what is happening guys, did India become a developed country overnight and we didnt even notice.

I would not advocate for 3days paid period leave. I always believe women are really strong and should not be portrayed as weak by bringing up these topic.
