An organization works for profit and not for charity. No organization can afford to pay anyone for free. Already it is a gross injustice to stretch the maternity leave from 3 months to 6 months. This provision will just be ridiculous and will lead to lots of losses from the organization standpoint. Think practically. I also belong to a family where I respect my mother, wife and sister a lot, but this is foolishness and unacceptable.

why dont you change your gender to girl and allow yourself to go through that pain which a girl bears during the labour period, mensus and the time of carrying the baby. the leave is mandatory and it is granted after reviewing a lot many serious cases. when you dont know anything about how a girl feel during their time then dont let our voice to come out.
Of course,they are respectable Strength of our population & share more responsibility than man such as bringing up child, managing home affairs and managing the dear husband.
There should be a provision for extra unpaid sick leaves i suppose if at all. People don't realise by continouslly adding provisions like this and paid maternity leave etc, they are making it very unattractive for emloyers to employ women.
At end of the day employers have to survive in highly competetive enviroment, and they are looking for employees with higher productivity.
Any measure like this touches a very small segment of women in big companies, it doesnt address others in any case.
Also its not like only women face problems, men have all kinds of issues, there are men who are sick, who have various disorders etc..So everyone is having some issue or other...Atleast dont expect the employer to pay anyone for additional offs..this includes maternity leave . Although in case of maternity leave its to ensure for the child, so goverment should allow paid plus unpaid to be fair both to company and child (instead of 6 months paid by the new rule)
Yes but unorganised sectors must be benifited first, who will check menopose of woman above 40 years? Also, if both spouses are working husband must work 3 days more in nations best interest and to keep dignity of work
Why call them to office, at all. Transfer the salary on 1st of every month to their bank accounts. Where is this dirty politics, yellow journalism and pseudo-social organisation taking our country, 1. Atmospheric temp 22 degree Centigrade -too cold holiday, temp 28 degree -- too hot holiday; two drops of rain-- deluge--- holiday; no rain --drought holiday. Child birth -- leave; Lactation--- leave. Meat eating-- criminals. Any tree on the road--- too dangerous-- fell them.
