All rules are misused by rich women. A women working in govt gets 2 year paid child care leave. but a labour women working does not get a single day leave. Even pregnant labourers work very hard. Govt is giving all facilities to rich ladies but not thinking about poor women.

... in almost all developing countries. Therefore, expecting something uncommon would never be welcome.

I think sometime back some women argued that they should be allowed to go to temple during the menstrual period, it is natural and nothing wrong going temple. Now where is the question comes asking leave. What a girl will do, if it falls during exam or any such important event beyond her control. These are some unnecessary topics, just because something happened somewhere and we need to follow it. Many countries are banning burkha, will it be followed here.

Most countries have long since banned open defecation !

Will India ban it ? Especially when 64 % of all Indians still defecate in the open ?

3 days leave

This is not a good idea. Employer would discourage appointment of woman in corporate sector. Equal pay equal work should be rule for all.

Very Bad Idea

With Menstural paid leave, maternity paid leave, I think companies will stop hiring women employees. It will directly impact women employment.

After attending housework and office work a woman is taxed by government. Advertising agencies mislead her in the name of whisper and freedom to make money on her suffering. Let women have some freedom in life.

This idea must be supported not only for working women but also for working labourers such as construction workers and house maids.

paid leave
by cvn sudhakar on Apr 01, 2017 04:54 PM

women are definitely required paid leave for their monthly cycle.
If any male egoistic fellow raises objection he should get counseling for the same from his mother, sisters, wife or daughter to understand.
I fully support paid leave for the period of 3 days.

Menstrual leave for working women.

Bill to be be raised to grant leave during menstrual cycle. As it is very painful period to concentrate on work for working women. It would be very conducive for health to rest at home rather feeling discomfort at office.
