v ture my daughter working in hdfc bank all working days are more than 12 hrs. and now a days she worked for 16 to 18 hrs.still she never complin me and feel that i have to serve my best to nation.

Problem with public sector folks is that any thing beyond 9 -10 hours work, for them it is too much of work load. While country appreciate their effort in helping the cause, there is no need for overly stating about the stretched hours. The stretched hours of working in Pvt sector is common and army spends their hours day and night without complaining.
More than 80-90 % of Population have their Vit D level below required 30 nanogram People are deprived of Sunlight because they work either indoor or Moves in Car MODI SIR, HAVE PROVIDED EXCELLANT OPPURTUNITY TO INDIAN PEOPLE TO GET SUN EXPOSUR AND SO VIT D
Dear Durga, not being disrespectful to your mother but a 12 hour shift for a few weeks won't harm anyone. I do 12 hour shifts almost on a daily basis 5 days a week

Sir, Beg to differ with you. Working in shift working with accountability are two different things. Let us not show our disrespect to their service.

All bank staff has to be in the office for 7 hrs minimuminclusive of 30mts lunch. Normally officers used work still more hours though the banking hour was 4hrs and later during total computeisation banking hour was enhanced to 5 hrs- and now 5.30 hrs. Before CBS officers were forced to work 10-12 hrs otherwise DAY's work could not be completed. During last 7/8 days officers, cashiers are forced to work 12-14 hrs. It is a fact. Chatting with the Customers are also part of their job- bus it is being misunderstood. Meeting the customers, persuading the irrugualar borrowers, Inspecting shop, industry, work field, attending court, visiting the custormers at their place is also a part of their job which used to be criticized.

Before writing ths post can you think about most of private job employees timing and workload and less holiday and other benefits.

Every knowledgeable individual knows what others are doing but comparing is unwarranted as well as not wise enough. A college prof gives just 1/2 hrs lecture every day means he has to prepare for that for so many hours. Is it wise to say, there is no war so that all soldiers could be withdrawn as they do not have any work at all. Every Job has its own merits but the human nature is just comparing themselves with others. Other side of a river always look green only. Some are born with silver spoon.
We are proud of you for thinking positive about your mother's involvement with Banking Needs at present and are proud of her also sacrificing her valuable time.
These tough times will pass and India would emerge stronger from this phase.Lets have patience!!!
its 12 hour day no 24/7 support or night shift, ask those who work 24/7 or continuous night shifts just to earn 15K p.m. , does anyone care about their well being, and what about the extra money bank officials will get for extra work in private sector extra work mens no extra money employers say we are not firing you nor stopping your monthly sal
Let them work, I went post office last year and saw how these Gov. employees are works. They worked in their entire lives for not more than 4-5 hrs in a day Let them work at least now.
