Menstruation being an essential natural process has to be accepted and respected by all at all times at every place unconditionally to affirm the equality of all human beings

In general those who bleeds (by natural or unnatural), get it irritated and have pain. This will applicable for both men and women. During such time they become mentally and physically weak and could not perform their normal duties diligently and need some rest. On that basis only our Ancestor allowed our women's to take complete rest during mensuration. In later stage some Miscreants twisted for their own benefits

We should also needs to follow some rules like if you enter in masque and Gurdhwara you need to wear head wear and in church you need to follow their rules and have separate queue for men and woken to enable them to perform spiritually without any disturbance. There is no question whether Hindu, Muslim or christian everybody is having their own rules which are arranged for the convenience and to avoid any disturbance

This so called equality does not exist anyhwere except in news papers and internet. In reality, people are discriminated for some reason or the other.

In religious matters, not everything is logical. What is Athindriya[beyond senses] where we need spiritual guides and the rules must be followed.

The fact that Sanatan DHarma has produced so many great saints and India being called spiritual country is proof enough to say our observances must be continued.

This is rubbish. These comments would not be tolerated elsewhere.
There are some rules which are set by precedent. Tomorrow she or others will want to eat meat/Beef inside the sanctum sanctorium of the temple and make claims that not doing so is against her freedom.
I think she is trying to get cheap publicity.
Shame on her and shame on the media for giving this cheap publicity. Not expected of REDIFF.

Jail is too easy for her. She is a member of the feminist mafia and should be treated like any other mafia. But that wont happen in our "progressive" India which is sold out to the global feminist mafia.

just dont agree with this girl. Every place, religious or comercial have their own rules. And if you want to visit it, you have to follow the rules. If you do not agree with rules then dont go there. Tomorow people will say, 1. i will drink alcohol and visit, 2. i will smoke in the premises.. 3. I will go with my foot wear etcc.. there is no end to freedom. Freedom doesnt means breaking rules. Also the statistics that 88% women dont have access to sanitary napkins is wwrong.. today 62% of women is using cellphones, so how is it possible that they cant have the access to napkins.. They may be using alternative methods comfortable to them...

These statistics are fudged by the feminist mafia. Do you really believe the so called rape figures etc quoted on TV? All stunts pulled to take over the judiciary and other Institutions...and ultimately take over the entire society.

Good to Read but ..why only Temple?

I would suggest gender equality for all religious places. Only then we can call it truly secular and unbiased.

No religion is secular. No religion can be so called secular. Abrahamic religions are more strict. Even Communists are strict when it is concerned their domain.

please do more research
by Nischal Ever on Dec 07, 2015 04:03 PM

As somebody mentioned here It is basically curiousity that got you here and nothing wrong about it. Ideally you should open a forum to discuss "why are we not allowed to enter temples when we are mensturating and otherwise we are allowed to get in" instead of making strong statements like Happy to Bleed which is not an ideal statement or message.

Also Patriarchy is long gone and so does the issues associated with it. if you still want to cry fowl around it, you are basically encouraging it which I believe you shouldnt by making such statements and provoking them to get in to that space or debate.

You want to know why you are other girls are not allowed in to the temples. Do a complete research from Northern India to Southern India (talk to ladies only if that gives you more confidence) and list it all down in a forum and then take a poll (women only - why need men for it) and then finally conclude.

Best wishes.
