Gurudas Kamat Boo..........
by Surendran on Aug 03, 2015 01:29 PM

Gurudas kamat represents the charechter of the congress....Nothing surprising. Gandhiji is the best example...He cleaned toilets to highlight dignity of labour. No harm . No job is less dignified provided it is done with due sincerity

Working in a restaurant
by Ramesh Koushik on Aug 03, 2015 01:25 PM

1.There is certainly no loss of self respect in working in a restaurant
2.However,there can be 2 arguments against a person from a well to do family to work, to support himself financially for undergraduate studies:
i)the pay is not good in India while in US, a local student can get a decent pay
ii)why not let this job go to a poor student so that he can support his undergraduate studies?

All of us have the same way of thinking, though most of us wear a mask in front of others. Politicians are just a mirror of the society they live in. They are not from another planet.

A Shame!
by Vijay Sahani on Aug 03, 2015 01:22 PM  | Hide replies

This is akin to Mani Shankar Iyer saying Narendra Modi can serve tea in Congress's conference!

It's a shame that Congressmen still think in such parochial lines. Besides, they should realize how much damage Mani Shanakr Iyer's statement did to Congress's prospects at the polls.

I'm sure BJP will try to play this up to score brownie points.

I guess personal attacks are common these days in indian politics. what not the opposition followers told about congress president (and they continue to talk that way)... I guess there should be some limit for it,,,

Actually the opposition made amistake talking about Congress president. The fact is she is not even worth mentioning. And as regards her son...less said the better. The more he opens his mouth the more he puts his foot in

That is not the issue here. I guess you did not comprehend the matter or are pretending to be ignorant. There should be some limit to personal attacks... you can talk about their acts while in public service... so, be it any political party, they must refrain from personal attacks
