Job dignity
by Hari Rao on Aug 03, 2015 02:14 PM  | Hide replies

Any job is dignified as long as it is legal and not demeaning to one's character. Smriti is just a minister while Sonia became India's virtual ruler with somewhat similar beginning.

Sonia had similar beginnings?

She married into a dynasty and got everything on a platter!

ANY WORK IS DINIFIED
by Thomas Philip on Aug 03, 2015 02:09 PM

There is nothing demeaning for any work.If a responsible member of Parliament made a derogatory remark about Ms Smriti for working for Mc Donald it is unfortunate. My respect for Ms Smriti has increased manifold.

There is nothing wrong doing small jobs for an earning.I'd worked in a phenyl factory painting the tins & labeling them for rs 400.00,before being an executive.
Shame on those people, who has princely attitude.

Every work is important. Smriti Irani was right in earning her living through honest means. One should, however, always aspire to do more purposeful things in life.4ymbn

No job is a bad job as long as one loves the job and is doing it professionally. But the problem with Indians is this - they take certain jobs just because they can't get "perceived" better jobs at that point in time. Let us ask this imaginary question, which anybody can answer. Would Smriti Irani allow her daughter to work in a restaurant and clean the tables?

Will Rahul Gandhi clean tables?

The point is : it's not a crime to clean tables at Restaurants.

No job should be looked down upon. She did a honest job at least, unlike many politicians who don't think twice in cheating the Indian exchequer.

Vijay Sir ... perhaps you did not understand my comment. Please read again. I've also said the same thing that you are trying to say. Read the last sentence once again and answer that question for yourself. No need to post an answer :-)
