Chennai has more roots for Asians and Europeans connect
by sam raj on Oct 28, 2014 07:15 AM

From European side,
Chennai is the place where almost all European traders made their landmark. Be it Dutch, Portuguese, French and English, there are so many land mark Heritage in Chennai can be visited.

Dutch - Puzhikat Lake in the North and Dutch Fort in the south. Buckingham canal created by them connecting 2 famous ancient sea trade ports
French - Pondichery and its Heritage
British - They primarily ruled India from here, Chennai city and port itself created by them

From Asian side,
The ancient Chola and Pallava dynasty had Trade and Marital links with all the Indo-China bordering countries. It has a larger ancient connects when someone looked at Mahabhalipuram for its culture, religion and language
Tanjore temple and Ankhowat temple architecture and design are comparable and built almost in the same timeline which shows their superiority

When Travelers connect themselves thru some ancient legacies, it will become a cultural Sangamam which can be only experienced / realized and cannot be explained by words

So it is not a surprise to see Chennai in this list...

Chennai may not be Nr 1 city of the world but there are no other people who are such dominant as the Tamils in culture, arts, human values, history, food, hospitality, language, progressiveness. Chidambaram admitted that South India would have been a world superpower by now if it was separate from rest of India. The world is now recognizing Chidambarams observations as more and more South Indians dare to speak against the regressive Delhi people. Chennai can become Nr1 city of the world when Pee drinkers and Muslim trrrorists stop interfere like they did in the past.

The people who visit chennai are devoid of civic sense- see the rubbish that has thrown on the roof thru the window on the roof of the below ceiling for the verandah. and also the dresses hung over the windows for drying.
the auto drivers fleece people as they are pampered by the police personnel
