While I am not against the success of this Lady, 100% doubtful against her capability to execute large projects under her in a district or any level however you train her.A person from History, Language etc should be given in charge of cultural related depts.Large projects are to be handled by Engrs,Drs,CAs with MBA or IAS etc who are selected with due process. Our NSA is IFS and PG in History, I think. Can he understand the critical technology issues of defense etc? This is the reason IAS is big flop in this country along with uneducated politicians added, no system improvement here. In China even in CP, They promote educated and capable like corporates, hence high performance. We need total change in UPSC method and political parties where educated and capable is getting the decision making positions.

Yes. Only someone with Civil Engineering background with IAS degree should be made the secretary to the PWD department. Someone with Mechanincal Electircal engingeering background should lead Electicity Board as secretary. Someone with MBBS/BDS should head health department and so on and so forth. Only that way we would get knowledgeable administrators.

Even if IIT graduate in Civil engineering, a PWD dept head cannot disobey dictums of a minister

Going by that, even if the PWD minister is good and wants to do somehting to his dept, he cannot disobey his/her CM. But that is not the point i was making ...you need to have the right people for the right job. Whether they are honest or not is another question altogether.

From her body language she looks like a girl who is expert in mugging not a decision maker. She may suite for social welfare or Rural development etc.

congrats to her. but to be honest, she may not be able to work freely as she has to serve the politicians not the country. over period of time IAS is not preferred much by the people other than few sections
