It would seem that here dependence on a hijab is more to do with inability to come to terms with her physicality and less to do with religion. That she chose the job of a DJ and not VJ is also indicative of her personality. How many music channels would welcome her wearing a hijab? Whether she is progressive or a retrogressive Muslim is not at all a question here. Whether her hijab is related to religion at all is.
I support you 101%, the same thing is that in software companies they dont allow one to wear a dothi , they expect a shirt and a pant. Why not a Indian dress not allowed in corporate companies of today?

Most of IT cos are US/Europe and foreign so you should dress as they like. Time will come when every will wear as Indian cos wants.
