As a Corporate Communication trinee,what Piyush Basha has told is right.But there are Officers like Late Narasimha Rao (Ex-Prime Minister), they donot smile or react, whether you look stright or down, it doesnt matter to them. Whatever they decides, is the right deciscion.Then how to communicate with such tuype of persons ? These are all theory in our country. When we bribe,every idle machine will speak and work.Body language,look every thing counts when you speak to a foreigner.

Wrong analysis. A leader like PV Narasiamharao also might have had faith on few people and no confidence on others. If you start thinking too much negitively about bosses, you cann't win any situation. If your logic is correct, your boss will be convinced.

Narsimha Rao was a one among rare species that only a learned enough person can realize let alone his qualities and attributes...dont go with party culture but in personal capacity he was brilliant and exceptional.
IN India everyone is unruly and nobody is perfect. So the above lessons dont apply. Only when we interact with foreign clients, do we need manners. In our own country, nobody cares what and how you talk, write and feel. So, take it easy if you work only with Indians. We are all sailing in the same boat.

Being unruly is not desirable.Ofcoursr no body is perfect too. But no harm if you try to be good mannered,polished and a bit classy. I is not too much .
Overall the article seems to be well thought out and useful. However, the illustration of the last slide is totally irrelevant and off point. It seems that the author did not practise what he preached.

You are right, it seeems he copied the illustration from elsewhere but did not aptly utilize it.
Very good article. I have been making at least 6 to 7 of the above mistakes at my work place. Surely I would like to improve myself with certain tips provided. Thanks for the great article.

To be honest , Confident people don't make much friends. And in Indian corporate worlds group ism is must to survive... people don't hire smarter people than themselves ... look around you... how many of them are really smart and confident .. and how many are pure dumbo...you will find 90 % dumbo and living happily every after... so if you are smart and confident.. dont show that in Indian corporate culture... at least not in IT companies ... DUMBOS survive.. Confident don't
