Future military leaders
by sushil kaushal on Sep 17, 2011 10:57 AM

Future Military Leaders in India are made to go through the rigours of Hills around Pune during therr training at NDA. I salute the brave and congratulate rediffcom for taking up a story of the rare kind for people to know deep inside the psche of our future military leaders. I am in know of all this stuff 'coz I took premature retirement from IAF in 2003 and myself had gone through such rigorous schedules at Bangalore and Belgaum though not as intensive, vigorous and rigorous as the one Major Ankur led. Hats off to Ankur. Therefore when I compare a young civil servant heading some district with likes of Ankur and his mates I tend to regard the later more highly than the former despite knowing the fact that people in today's India prefer civil services more than sending their wards to NDA.

Time and again the Indian Armed Forces (Army, Navy & Air Force) men and women have proved they are the BEST of the BEST. Be it Kargil, Mumbai attacks or any part of the world.

Their level of Confidence, Morale, Devotion & Dedication to our Nation is of the Top Order. We all should learn from these guys NEVER SAY DIE ATTITUDE.

Please modernize our army
by French Cuisine on Sep 14, 2011 07:02 AM

The army is awefully equipped just like every other sector in our country. TImes of India exposed how poorly equipped the jawans are. Just compare the body gear of the jawan with that if a NATO trooper, even the Chinese soldiers. We cannot stand up to a Chinese attack simply due to inferior body gears. Please spend more money on jawans and their safety instead of spending only on war weapons.

Living in the worlds most dangerous zone with a nuclear armed terrorist country on one side and a nuclear armed dragon on the other, we can still sleep in peace at night because we know we have one of the best and most disciplined military in the world. Jai Jawan ! Jai Hind!
