i dont belive in IAS selection procedure as the system was design as per british "policy to india " needs to be revised ....higher admistartion positions to be given to honest social families ...like law and order of MUMBAI to be given to BALA SAHEB THAKRE family ...they should conduct their own IAS or whatever they want....but their famly member to be directorate of police ....also ...pawar family to be given PUNE for administrative services ...and revenues ...atleast if any thing goes wrong they will feel responsibilities and honour to do the right things ...OUR EXISTING IAS SELECTION GIVE US ..people who can speak language of their ruler (instead of british ..now politician) ..so only slave ,listner are coming up as successful in those vucabilaries and x y z test ...make some retired general as RPF ..cheif then see railway security ...

so sad; so many professionals who came to dr. engineer r running after this service why ?? u see when systum is corrupt evry body runs after gov job . like this . gove is sleeping n ruingi good talent
let them smile all they want before they join; this will be followed by years of dis illusionment and frustration as the ill bred politicians kick them around; the only alternative is to join them in looting the country; many of this kind have done this and there is no guarantee that the toppers will not follow suit.
This young lady has topped the IAS. Congrats to her. I am sure she has taken up this career with a lot of dreams in her eyes. How far the politicians will allow her to pursue her dreams remains to be seen. 99% of the IAS officers become puppets in the hands of their politicalmasters. But exceptions are surely there. Mr. Rao, the former Municipal commissioner of Surat and Mr. Jagdeeshan, former collector or Rajkot are two examples which I am aware of. But it will take a lot of grit, determination and courage to emulate them. Hope these two toppers will try it.
Dear Ms You are IAS topper. My advise to you is to do something different than most of the IAS people in the country are doing like gather power, or become the slave of the system and keep serving politicians, amass good money etc. Do something different. If all IAS officers and politicians come clean, India can progress like no other country in the world can.
Congratulations! Be bold and firm in dealing with the politicians.As against the shame brought by Raja to your state,bring the name and fame with your acts and decisions.

yes the shame brought to TN by A RAja and Kanimozhi must be wiped out by you. The Sardarji iAS officers in TN- Bedi/ swaran Singh & others and one lady Gariyali - were loved by TN people though all of them were north Indians. U must be loved and adored by people like MGR. Try to do good to people. Emulate Kiran Bedi/ Archana Ramasundaram IPS of TN.

may be true, let us not wish so. Three/4 north indian IAS officers had done excellent job in TN/ were loved by pepole. Atleast one IAS officer of Mah was honest- he was humiliated and troubled by all Mah governments. Buch of MP cadre was honest. may be 1% but there are honest good IAS officers. let us wish Divya to be so. Sirs- there are two types of corruption- harming soceity / not harming. Taking bribe to expedite an approval / custom officer charging Rs 1000 in place of Rs10000- well these are corruptions, no doubt. but allowing unsafe buildings/ allowing spurious drug companies, - well these are detrimental to the life of personnel. This should be condemned in toto.
