IAS, IFS etc.,

Why is it that India has not prospered despite brilliant IAS officers in the system ever since Independence? What is their contribution to the progress, if at all any, of the nation? Why is India corrupt? Why is India poor with huts and hamlets everywhere? They have only increased since Independence despite top class bureaucrats? Why? Abdul Kalam may say so many things. What is the reality? Why are our roads not maintained? They were quite good in 1947. Now they are the dirtiest with gaping potholes, and mounds. Why? What was it that prevented IAS bureaucrats and Scientists from improving the Indian society? Why is primary education neglected? Several decades ago, I studied in a Municipal School. The standard of education was high. The teachers were dedicated and devoted and the teachers were heros for everyone of the students. Why has the standard of education in Municipal schools deteriorated to this abysmal level? Well. I can't help digressing. The fact is that IAS bureaucrats and Scientists have not helped us in anyway. There was no guidance. Priorities were not determined. IAS have become yes men to corrupt politicians. Why does young and talented men and women prefer to work in a useless country like Saudi Arabia and other Islamic countries deserting Hindustan? Why do they prefer to rot there? Do they have a sense of proportion? Why are our politicians and bureaucrats not taking any steps to guide them and utilise their manpower in India?

My answer is: Our society has become more selfish now.Lack of self-discipline is the result of what we see today.blaming IAS officers & politicians for non-improvement of the society wont lift our country.

hey,
whoever u r...
It is easy to say corruption corruption all the time, but I think some people just complain corruption all the time because they are not in that game, and I can say 100% sure that u r one of them,
your name "welcome to ICL" defines u. U always think and saw that ohh she/he got into it, why not me..
that's why rather than appreciating
someone's achievements you always try to spit on them. The only answer to this attitude is that u are one of the biggest losers of all time and never succeeded in anything u have done that's why u don't know what is the success really means.. I m sure u wasted a lot of time just to get jealous or commenting on others success

You can change my dear
by Dave Law on May 17, 2011 07:42 AM

Congrats! Either she is naive or playing safe in giving the expected answers. But one thing is for sure she'll find out that she can't bring out a big change in the society. IAS officers can only execute what the politicians say. They themselves can't make policies. The best she can do is by making sure the govt policies are properly executed and the depts under her perform effeciently without corruption. This itself can make a big difference and that is what you call effective administration. All the best Divyadarshini IAS.
