Surya namskara should be done in multiples of 12. ie you must do 12 or 24 or 36 etc. for 12 times it just takes 15-20 mins. Please learn and use the 12 mantras to be chant during surya namaskara. You must avoid odd number of times. It is better to learn from a guru/master since you must master to control your breathing also.

Good excercise....
by First Hindu on Jan 28, 2011 08:51 AM

Surya namaskar is the best excersice ever anyione can do.

However the article doesnot mention the MANTRA to be said during the namaskar....OM HRAM MITRAY NAMAH.....

Mantra's are very improtant as each particular mantra activates the CHAKRA within the body.

Make Yoga as acompulsory subject from 1st Standard in all school syllabus. And make compulsory to all students. As per my opinion Yoga may helpful for making good citizen, life style, mainly healthy environment of our society. Instead of providing free food provide health to all our new generation. Now days all hospitals making huge money by mis dignosing the patients. So it is better to insert the Yoga in syllabus make India healthier. And open new portfolio in Central and State Govt. like HR.

ROFLMAO!!!! Who told you that is some "Creator"?? Then who created the "creator"?? If some creator can create himself/herself/itself, the universe and every thing in the same can create themselves.

SyryaNamaskar is not a namaskar but a complete exercise; there is no need chant theVerses also.
