Big Bazaar buys in bulk from standard labels.. I saw a "lazy bag" at Big Bazaar for Rs.1499 the same product is sold by Lazy Bag for Rs.2800. The Lazy bag at big Bazaar was filled only to half. In short it was not comparable and was of inferior quality. The big

Hypocrites
by oldruff on Jan 11, 2011 03:14 PM

Our society is constituted by hypocrites and what is not surprising is that most of them are the most academically advanced with well paying jobs. We expect that every one else will follow rules, or stick to their word or be ethical and moral, where we ourselves do not do any of that( at least most of us). Look at the kind of silly and trivial experiences that people have written. For 500 rs greed, one educated idiot had to face so much hardship, same with many others. Let us as customers do not expect any morals and ethics from the companies which we ourselves do not follow! first learn that!

offers by mega shoppers
by Shharad Gotecha on Jan 11, 2011 03:03 PM

Just expansion does not give name and fame. it is the service and integrity which counts. cusomte can be fooled once but not all times. Pnataloon night mare was also experinced by me when the billing clerk did not inform me in time that some scheme is going on and if we buy some small amount item then we can get the scheme. Later on when we bought another item to match the offer, we were told that the entire offer amount should be in ONE BILL AND NOT IN TWO BILLS though both the bills were generated within 15 minutes of each other. When we protested, they had no answer.I then asked to talk to the manager, the fellow put some other billing clerk before me and said he is the manager, To my simple firest question - "ARE U THE MANAGER" ? he was fumbling and later on admtted thathe is billing clerk. I had to fire the first biling clerk and then the real MANAGER came and apologiged.

Mr Biyani - look what is happening down the line and you have to come out of your closet. the incident which I am refering to happned in the CAMAC STREET, KOLKATA. It is better to be late than NEVER. Remember words of mouth do lay crucial role here.

Never, ever pay in advance
by mohinder bhatnagar on Jan 11, 2011 02:53 PM  | Hide replies

Asked by emperor Akbar to compile a list of fools, Birbal promptly made a list showing Akbar's name at the head of the list. When asked to explain, Birbal told the emperor that the latter was the greatest fool as he had paid to the trader in advance the full price of horses purchased by him that morning. "What, if the trader delivers the horses as promised?" enquired Akbar. "Then I'll replace your name with his," was Birbal's reply. How true!

This is the way Indian are taught and they behave exactly what Birbal has said. Why can't we teach a better story about the loyalty and promptness in service and trade

never trust lucurative offers
by R Balasubramanian on Jan 11, 2011 02:50 PM  | Hide replies

All offers are bait. Either the cost is escalated and then brought down or the quality of the product offered is below sub-standard. I have seen many leading brand products in Reliance Outlets (cosmetics and eatables) which had expired but still occupying the prominent shelves. when brought to the notice of the Store staff, she stared at me as if I have done a crime in pointing out.
All Malls and Super Bazars are white collar cheats but foolish and idiotic people throng only these places like sacrificial goat and boast they are regular visitors.

Why are you looking for some thing more when you are really got the material worth for which you have paid? This greediness is used by traders. Bargain for the price and not the extras

the title is correct..

never ever pay in advance..

the salespeople will fall at your feet if you have not made payment..

the moment you have made payment, they no more interest in you..you are handed over to after sales service..

and, after sales service is a sham..and no big retailers are different in any way..

even if they replace a faulty product, or make up for something that was wrong, you spend a lot of time and energy in visiting them two or three times for no fault of yours..

most of the employees are half-baked, semi educated people (many on border line of idiocy), so you only get high blood pressure, if you argue with them..

inspect a product and buy it only after seeing it..even then, as in case of HP experience narrated by a customer here, you cannot check everything..and something may go wrong afterwards..

but, threaten them with going to consumer forum and writing to newspapers (once in a while they may print something..), they are only afraid of bad publicity..

or forget big chain retailers..buy from shopkeepers who are afraid to lose customers..

Why are you calling yourself as dogs? Why don't you buy the products from the OEM or their authorised retail stores?

big bazar business
by prabhakar umamaheshwar hiregange on Jan 11, 2011 02:06 PM  | Hide replies

they deliberately post under performing staff so that mistakes committed by the staff are to their advantage.
Further customer care has already gone for toss
After sale service is only an eye wash.

If such things continue in the similar fashion it won't be surprising to hear the closing down of big bazar as custoers have become smart.

How is that the staff always err on the side of their advantage and never to the customer?

The only way is to shout inside the store. When the store manager sees that other buyers are getting scared by your shouting do they come and try to solve your problem. Just create a ruckus and see what happens.
