Ridiculous

Author seems to be a big loser, cynical and probably possesses one of the characterstics that he classified about all his previous bosses. He definitely is arrogant and doesn't care to respect his previous bosses, he should have been making mistakes at work all through his life and hence got such bosses. I bet he can never make a good manager, not even in his dreams.

The eyes of the beholder

I have a story to narrate. Once Dronacharya called Yudhisthir and asked him to find a bad man in their city. Yudhisthir roamed the entire city for 2 days and could not find one.
Dron asked Duryodhan to find a good man in the same city. He also roamed for 2 days and cudnt find one.
The moral of the story- you see the world as you are.
Got it Mr Nair?

Useless stuff - may be just a Timepass
by Kumar on Apr 26, 2011 12:27 PM

It seems that Vijay nair is just venting his emotions and the heat from his Boss. It may the reson why he wants to dedicate this to himself. Its just a sales gimmick to garner young readers who are undoubtedly fed up with their Bosses.

Looking through Colored Glasses

Our thought process and the personality we grow up to is the product of the environment, society, quality of upbringing etc. No wonder, the author's views are conditioned by what kind of boss he worked under or kind of organizations consulted for. What he has writen or experienced in his 10 years of career does not necessarily reflect the cumulative wisdom of readers and should be read in that context in my view.

Don't agree

This statement will come from a person who will try to escape from work and he will just give excuse stating the Boss is not good. If the work is done or the risk is handled properly I dont think all managers are not good. Yes there are few exception I will not say all managers are good.

bad taste
by sumit mukherjee on Apr 26, 2011 11:01 AM

this book reflects the bad taste that the author has. he may have graduated from XLRI, but that does not make him brilliant or charming. in fact, his so called "sense of humor" is bordering on indecent. if he says that his clients have stopped calling him after this book, i think they did the right thing. a person with such bad judgement and poor taste can only bring misfortune on any organization as a consultant.
anyways, most "HR consultants" are basically out of work managers who have been given the pink slip for their lack of aptitude.
